My story is a bit in the reverse....I broght my desi guy to meet my gori parents. We were having a nice bbq outside. My guy had recently quit smoking, he got a prescription for "Zyban" but didnt even use it....
I proudly told my parents "Yeah, he quit smoking last week. He got a prescription for Viagra but he didnt even need to use it!"
OMG.

Nurrhy... Its you who will spend next 60+ years of your life with someone. You need to make that choice i agree that our parents want whats best for us. But sometimes they fail to see it.
If there is someoen out there who can go through anything just to be with you. Hun thats the right guy don't ever let him go. Its simply a matter of sitting down and explaining your parents. And inshallah things will fall in to place ....
Not many people are lucky in this world who get loved by someone. If you do please hold on to that person and don't let them go ...
thinking about someone else while you are married with another... its the most terrible thing one can do to themself.
Life became all Gray! But NOW i have decided to paint it all over again.

once i dreamt that a blind lion was following me where-ever i went ...... only after a few days......... the first guy came to our house ..
in short my parents refused and after a year i came to know certain abt that person from some1 else ...
the moral of this story is that it is not necessary that what u dream comes true ...
sooo .. moreove in islam it is believed that if u depict a dream positively then it has positive effects but if u think negative it will be negative on your side ......
think positive even if it is not good .. God will help u

Any girl i meet who brings up her parents...i stick to the idea that i will present myself as the guy that dates their daughter not the guy who they would like to date their daughter...
I dont believe i need to front...If your daughter thinks im good enough then so should you...
I remember one girl in discussion mentioned that if i ever met her parents i would have to remove all my piercings...have to act a certain way etc...which i dont think is right...
I rock a suit and look presentable but dont feel i shuld change on meeting a parent...

Thats jokes lol...

Lol there are unwritten rules about these things...i gotta say your husband was brave...
Nia
You say most people arent lucky enough to be loved...i dont think they should get married then...
