why are you calling his father a criminal if he had major schizophrenia, he was not in his right mind, did he even know what he was doing?
I think its tragic, a person who has such a severe mental imbalance that he kills his wife due to it.
so lets see, if that guy's son, lives with this massive tragedy in his life, and deals withthe fear that he may inherit it, and then hears someone call his father a criminal, how do you think that will make him feel?

you cant say that his father is a criminal he didnt kill his wife becos he had sum motive behind it, he was mentally ill, iff ure concern is with the fact that the schizophrenia can be inherited then u have very right to be, but to be concerned and to hold teh ppor guy to account becos u feel his father is a "criminal" is totally wrong!!

My uncle too has schizophrenia, and he killed his wife as a result of it. his 2 sons have lived with me and my family since. and let me tell you, they are 2 great and perfectly normal boys mashallah. if your mother or father commited a crime, that traumatised you as a child, and someone was to say to you, "i like you but you may become a criminal too, so i dont want anything to do with you," how would you like it?

first of all let's get one thing straight...this gentlemen's father is NOT...i repeat..NOT a criminal!
If the father was diagnosed as having schizophrenia....then he is just that... a schizophrenic. He was suffering from a God given mental illness....he did not choose to be that way nor did environmental factors cause him to become that way.
will he suffer from schizophrenia? There is a possibility. The onset for schizophrenia is early to mid 20s for men and for women early to mid 30s but there are signs that can tell you whether he is headed that way or not. look out for those signs.
will he forget about his past? how can he? it was such a tragic part of his lilfe I dont think anyone could forget such a thing. But that isnt necessarily a bad thing...perhaps he took such a tragedy and turned it into something positive.
will he be able to live a normal healthy life? of course he can.

schizophrenia is not habitual...schizophrenia is a mental disease that you are born with.
AE= many years ago i had a friend whose dad had become schizophrenic . and that was maily becaz he was an addict in his earlier years of life . at that time of life i learnt that most people in pakistan who are addict suffer from this disease.
what i'm unsure is of the causes of this disease. i did not ask him as this would hurt him more .
for instance if he was anaddict then killing his wife could be due to any other reason .
but if he was not an addict .. then that is something else .
its useless to conclude whether he is a criminal or not . the point is where does his son stand at ?
people have all kinds od psychologies . some may not even talk to him and some may make friends with him .
and most importantly his adaptations towards life are yet another factor .

I did not read the link you posted as of yet but I wanted to point out one thing to you if I havent already...
Schizophrenia is a genetic disorder. If a parent has the gene for this disorder the child becomes a carrier of it. Now just because one is a carrier of this disease does not mean that they will automatically become a schizophrenic. Carriers can live a perfectly normal life without showing any signs/symptoms of this disease.
With that said, environmental factors (ie stress, depression, addictions etc) do not make a person schizophrenic unless they were already a carrier of this genetic disorder in the first place. Evironmental factors may trigger and activate the already existing gene but it can not make a non-carrier schizophrenic.
another thing I want to mention....people may throw around the term schizophrenic to describe a persons actions but they need to be medically evaluated by a doctor to be called a schizophrenic. Until then no one can know for sure if they were schizophrenic or just suffering from some other psychological issues.
