I appreciate all the solutions suggested but I'd like to put forth some of my views.

When someone says I should back off from this marriage then it's because most of us believe cutting off a degrading organ is better than allowing it to spread and culminate in a dreadful disease..But temme people, when you decide to have a love marriage, do you ever ask the guy/gal about her family background or number of people he's supporting or just simply fall for the person's good qualities?? Mine won't be called a love marriage even though that guy has always considered me his childhood sweetheart but here we are actually depending on his niceties as a person...What if I reject him and end up marrying someone not even half sensible and understanding than him???

It once happened that a huge friction took place between the two families right ater our wedding date was finalized, things got really worse and all I could do was cry incessantly; I had to literally act being happy before my parents who had already decided to call off the engagement..But one phone call to my fiance n I knew what I had to do..He said he'll stand up to his parents if they ever suggest another girl, plus my father in law ironed out all the differences n assured nothing would go wrong again!

Even my real MIL likes me a lot but she's just got this moody side to her that doesn't go down too well with us but overall, she's good....My main concern isn't about my own in laws but I just wanted to know what to do with that lady? Like someone said up there, don't nag to your husband about her..I needed advice on such lines as in how to deal with her without being projected as a disrespectful and arrogant girl?

After all she is your phupo. If you will give her importance, I think she will like you.

I've done that all my life..been more obedient and loving towards her but she kind of hates me since she hates my parents as well..That sort of Gandhigiri won't have much effect on her!

Guess, I need to dope myself more on those saas bahu serials?

There is a small dua meant exactly to repell the bad bahevoir of some people. I will write it in English here:

Summum Bukmumm Umyun Fahum laa Yarjaoon.

Just recite it before you meet her. InshAllah you will see the differences yourself. But, having said that, you should behave normally with her. Respectfully yes, but be careful not to compromise on your dignity by getting too buttery.
