Chilis, Applebees, and Outback are all good restaurants.

Busy

for persian food, nothing beats Jawan in West LA. there are a few decent ones in Westwood as well - Shamsheri, Sheherzad, Canary.

Jawan and Shamsheri do daily specials.. braised lamb necks are available on a few days.. you won't want lamb shanks anymore after that.

Raffi's in Glendale... is that still there?? They had pretty ok kababs...

Shamsheri and Sheherzad are the best i think. I still remember the lamb and aubergine dishes i had at Sheherzad.... *drool*

Worried

Just got back from LA...we ate at 2 really great places that stick in my mind....I can't remember the names of them though!!!
The first was a chinese somewhere near Anaheim Hills...pretty sure that the name began witha 'M'...the food was absolutely gorgeous and the portions were huge! (Something rare in other chinese places I have been to)

Second was a Thai..it's fairly new I think as my cousins said it wasn't there a year ago when my mum was in LA last.

In San Francisco, we didn't eat at any restaurants - we had breakfast at 'Happy Donut' in Chinatown which was surprisingly nice...We ate at a Chinese buffet in Union city in SF which was OK - a bit grotty when you think about it though

I noticed that there was an Indian/Pakistani restaurant near the Hilton in SF - Chilli and Nan or something like that?

Oh and In N Out's Cheese melted fries were kind of nice
