I like Cathay Pacific. Excellent service and you can stay in Hong Kong and Bangkok for 2~3 days in same price. Both are MUST SEE places. You will be amazed public services in HK unlike in L.A. The airport is worlds best, etc.

Don't forget to ask for B777 when booking from LAX or SFO till BKK as Cathay also operates B747's on this route with narrow seat pitch. B777 are very comfortable. From BKK to KHI, they use A320's or similar. Ask for Bulk Head aisle or window seat to maximize comfort and pre-order your meals. By the way, the Muslim breakfast they served me from LAX to HK is unforgettable. It was CHANNA's with NAAN (typical Lahore/Indian style). Amazing food....I took twice. Plenty of good meals served..... They will also serve DINNER due to long flight. This route is considered one of most important Cathay flights, so they keep you very happy.
Once in HK, go to Ocean Park and visit Kowloon and Central, HK Island markets. Go to THE PEAK and see spectacular sky scrapers down under. Stay in HK for 3 days. While in BKK, go to Sukhumvit area and stay there (near Soi 3). Soi means Street. Visit SIAM square shopping plazas including CENTRAL WORLD, MBK, EMPORIUM, etc, Eat out in open areas. SOI 3 has all kinds of ARABIC and INDIAN food. Stay in BKK for 3 days.....You will LOVE IT.
Register for ASIA MILES while boarding at LAX. with this return trip you will make 28000 miles or so. which can be spent on anything......

SAWADEE-KA Holy Moly, I call Bangkok my second home. Can't live without visiting at least twice a year. The country has some kind of magical attraction in it. You are right, HK has a Disneyland now. It can be reached by MTR and another place to visit nearby is Big Buddha statue on a mountain (by cable car). Back side of HK Island (Aberdeen, Stanley Market) are also very nice. Nothing can match the spirit of HK.
When I travel to Phuket, I stay at a place called Nai Harn Village (near Nai Harn Beach and Promthep cape). It's spectacular and quiet place. Not noisy like Patong where most tourists go. Another private is NUI Beach. you have to go about 3 km down the mountain on a mud path (can hire bike/car as well). then comes private NUI beach....amazing place.
I was pissed off when I saw LAX airport. Just a concrete jungle without personalized service. American people are the easiest to get along but people in Santa Monica and West L.A. have a kind of attitude. Maybe due to their wealth. Another thing I saw in America is how aggressively the big guys put luggage in airplane cabin compartments. They throw inside and shut off punching the door. America got STRANGE dudes....hahahha. The Venich Beach area has weird people on broad walk.....LOVED IT.
Another thing. when in Bangkok do enjoy a fruit called "DRAGON FRUIT". It is the size of an aubergine, red/pink in color, inside is white, inside looks like a watermelon and has black dots on it (tiny seeds). You will get addicted to it.

hahaha..... Sawadee-Ka, mastanamalik. I;ve been to bangkok many times too, a few other islands in thailand as well but not as many as you mantioned.
I like bangkok, but i have to say people are a bit rude when it comes to customer service. People say it;s heaven of bad boys
Isn't dragon fruit available everywhere? i didn't see it in Pakistan though.
I don't know your travel dates Bebo but chinese lunar new year is very close and at this very special occasion, whole Hong Kong is decorated as a bride in red. You'd love to see it.
