I have both iPhone 3GS and N97. There are some features which I love about iPhone but it can not match my N97. N97 is FEATURE PACKED!

I bought the N97 right when it came out. Initially the phone's OS had some bugs but nokia fixed it up real fast with an update.
N97 has the superior hardware and the feel of a real phone. The only thing that the Iphone has which can be said is better is the capacitive touch screen, as opposed to the resistive touch screen that nokia is using. The 5MP carl zeiss lens does pretty good for a cell phone cam along with DVD quality video recording. The N97 also comes with 32GB of internal ram which you can quadruple by adding an external memory card.
Oh, and keep in mind the price tag on the N97 is much much higher, so dont lose it!!!
Second star to the right and straight on till morning

^ and a real keyboard (big diff)...
other differences that i can think of based on owning both phones at one time:
N97 has:
- fm transmitter
- dual led flash with carl ziess lens
- real GPS integrated into it
- dvd quality video recording
- bluetooth
- handwriting recognition (yes it comes with a stylus)
- multithreading
- memory
- connectivity

The Nokia N97 is a Nokia phone, it makes no statment.. The iPhone on the otherhand makes one heck of a statement.
I've had a lot of Nokia's in the past and when it came to getting a new phone there was nothig on the market that I fancied. Then came along the 3G iPhone. I love it.. I love eveyrthing about it and with ever increasing number of apps being released via the app store, you'll never get bored of the phone and the novelty never wears off!! My best ever purchase!!
