I say stick to the iPhone! I have it currently.... and I didn't like the N97 at all...
Though there are a couple of guppies on here who will rave about the N97... wait for them to arrive...

Here is a review i posted in another thread around here, quite a while back:
iPhone OS 3.0
Pros
- New features, such as copy and paste text/photos
- 3G tethering, which allows you to connect your phone to your laptop to use it as a modem for net access
- landscape keyboard has been added to SMS, mail and notes
- shake to shuffle feature, which allows you to literally shake the phone to shuffle your music!
- Third party Application features which adds the possibility of over 1000 new APIs to extend the capabilities of new Applications
Cons
Uhm.... i can't think of any
Nokia N97
Pros:
- Good spec,
- Massive storage of 32GB of storage (expandable to 48GB),
- Good connectivity,
- Decent keyboard,
- Long battery life.
Cons:
- Crappy touch interface design,
- Applications are not optimised well for touch, camera is 5mp but pics come out looking crappy at full crop,
- Media playback features seem underpowered; the N97 has some good hardware, but can't quite manage the interface and apps to handle all that power

I have both iPhone and N97 plus my dad is using iPhone too so he knows about things so much more than I do. iPhone is more tech savvy and cool. N97 is businessy type and boring. I am contemplating selling it and getting the new N86 the 8 megapixel snapper.

iphone is for losers. sorry but it is.
Nokia is king of phones. If you can afford it, go for it!

I dont agree with that assessment at all. I have both phones right now, and the camera on the N97 is way superior. I mean its got a Carl Zeiss lens, dual LED flash, and not to mention its 5MP! I can post several pics of both cameras, taken together. Bottomline, Nokia knows how to make their camera phones. Also, the N97 supports multi-threading, the Iphone does not so I dont know what your third 'con' was referring to. I agree with the first one though, the touch interface on the N97 is resistive, and not as good as the capacitive one the Iphone has but thats just about the only thing thats inferior in the N97.
Second star to the right and straight on till morning
