Most of you guys are not aware of the Aussie car called the Commodore. It was originally based on Opel's European variant which became a huge success in Australia and is biggest rival of Ford Falcon. Commodores are also used in super V8 series.
Few years back Holden invested a billion dollars and produced a brand new commodore using BMW M5 as a model. This new Commodore series is the one the sexiest cars among I have yet seen. Looks better then a 5 series. I absolutely love this car. Its got true 50:50 weight ratio leading to superior handling.
Their only draw back is fuel consumption which is 21.6 mpg for the base model engine a 3.6ltr 240HP. But people still loved it and it is the best selling car since its launch in 2006. why? because it is a big, very sexy looking, a rear wheel drive sedan/wagon and a local brand which makes it cheaper to buy and maintain.
Now it is going to become even better. Base model's engine is being replaced with a new SIDI 3.0 ltr V6 producing 190KW/250HP and giving fuel consumption figures of 25.3 mpg which are even less then a Camry which has 165HP 2.4ltr engine and is front wheel drive. Take that!
The sports version called SV6 comes with 280HP 3.6 ltr engine with fuel consumption of 23.8 mpg which is exactly equal to a camry's fuel consumption.
SSV - comes with 360HP 6.0ltr V8 with fuel consumption of 18.2 mpg
here is video of a twin turbo charged VE SSV producing 511HP at the real wheels which means the engine producing 700+HP.
PS. VE stands for the latest series of commodores 2006 onwards based on the new platform designed by Holden, as E92 for BMW
Holden announced the coupe version based on VE commodore on its 60th anniversary and has not been launched as yet.
The engine has been designed to run on up to 85 per cent ethanol and with Holden’s Active Fuel Management can run on only four cylinders during light throttle and cruising conditions. A 6.0ltr V8 producing more then 450HP. imagine if we put a twin turbo on it
I thought the thread is about using Garage as workshop, your tool sanctuary and what kind of tools you have or prefer, hand tools or power tools, drill machines, circular saw, sanders and stud finders .. that kind of stuff ..

What do you know about DIY anyway?.... i think you're one of those guys that does more damage than good... and when it comes to self assembly, you probably throw the instructions away, and at the end you're left with lots of screws, bolts and washers...... and THEN like a genius, you claim that they are "extras"...
You're all the same.. aik mitti ke baney hue....saray ke saray

I am completely opposite of what you decribed .. only one thing .. for most of the things, I dont need instruction manual ..
Only time I could not perform a task if I dont have adequate tool for that. I dont use hammer where a screwdriver is required, and there are every little jobs around the house whose tool I dont have ..but I dont have many power tools ..
The F40 was publicly proven capable of its rated top speed in 1992 through an infamous incident in which a Japanese dealership owner proved the car's potential by filming himself touching its top speed on an expressway only to be arrested after he sold a videotape to an undercover policeman. By that time, he already sold ten thousand videos
