Thinking

What is it that drives the world economy today?
What is it that defines the cost of everything that we use: clothes, food, travel, just name it?
What is the Earth's primary source of energy at present (apart from the Sun)?

i can't think of anything apart from crude OIL and its derivatives

Can Oil continue to meet our future energy needs?
Can renewable sources of energy contiue to meet our future energy requirements forever?
Can we travel out to the moon, the solar system, and potentially beyond only on renewable energy?
Remember that we still need electricity to break Hydrogen from water which is one of the alternative fuels! .ExternalClass .ecxhmmessage P{padding:0px;}.ExternalClass body.ecxhmmessage{font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;}
Have you heard that UK government is planning to replace the Nuclear power stations?
What is it that is most likely to replace oil as cheap and extremly powerful source of energy?

i can't think of anything apart from enriched Uranium for controlled Fission reactors
Water/Hydrogen is a distant alternative when controlled Fusion becomes viable
One who possesses raw Uranium and one who can process and sell enriched Uranium controls the future

NOW

Which most troubled area comes to your mind when you think about Afghanistan?
Where is the Worlds' highest level of poppy crops grown?
Apart from Pakistan which is whemently denied by the Pakistani goernement, where could Mr BinLaden or Mulla Omar be hiding?
Where waas and still is the Taliban stronghold in Afghanistan?

Helmand/Kandahar/Southern provinces

Where are the highest number (almost 1/2 of the 67,700 strong total ISAF force and including all of the American share plus an additional independent 24,000 American) operating in Afghanistan?

Open attached jpegs in order, then see the following:
