What to see in Multan?

I havent been to multan ever, want to see it one day soon.

can any one shed some light, what to see and hang out places in this ancient city?

I went in 2007 for a stay of 2.5 months. There are quite a few mausoleums and shrines. The ChenOne tower seems to be popular for eating and shopping. The Zanzibar restaurant is really good. There's also a Pizza Hut and KFC. Plus there is the Garrison Mess that holds events like tombola and film nights but I think you need army connections to go there.

I would like to know more tho, for next time I go.

There are many fruit orchards like Mango orchards, Orange orchards, Falsa orchards etc in Multan (specially the villages in surroundings of Multan). You can visit these by the help of someone who is resident of Multan. They might have connections with farm owners.

Other than these, you can visit shrines of many Buzurgaan-e-Din like Bahauddin Zikria, Shah Rukn-e-Alam etc. There's Ibn-e-Qasim park and an old fort of Multan near these shrines too.

Other than that, Multan has Chaman Zar Askari Park (In Cantt Area), Company Bagh etc.

Make sure you pay a visit to all the big mazaars. Even if you're not into the sufi-spiritual stuff, the places are still gorgeous. absolutely beautiful. And very peaceful.

Other than that, there is this big bazaar there. It's sorta like ichra in Lahore. Try to hit a pottery store, where they make the traditional and famous blue and white pottery. Beautiful pieces made right in front of your eyes.

The best Shrine is one, the tomb of "Shah Rukn e Alam". Its built on a certain height so you can watch the whole of the city below from there. APart from that, the shrines here are not as commercial as are they in lhr and other cities, so its more tranquile, and kinda genuine. You also may feel the birds with grains there, as sold for whom may like to, its the loveliest thing I do there, if i ever visit.
