I tried Morton's last night on 45th and 5th. It was pretty good, pretty pricey, but that's probably how all the steakhouses here are. I had a filet mignon and the hubby had the Cajun Ribeye steak. His was much better, they marinate it with spices for 60 hours and it was so yummy. Had a few sides which were also very delicious. At the end of the night I felt like I was going to explode, had way too much to eat.
Anyone have any reviews on Smith and Wollensky's? I've been wanting to try that out for a long time now. Reviews on any other steakhouses in NYC?
I'm better than you and you know it. P.S. I purposely made this bright to annoy you.

This reply is a bit late but I can vouch for Smith & Wollensky. Hands down, it was the best steak I ever had. Its very pricey but well worth it if you're looking for a high-end steak place - I also went to Sparks and it couldnt hold a candle to S&W.

Morton's is a high end steak place, price wise it's the same level as S&W. I wanted to try S&W for a very long time till a friend of mine went there on a date and said it was the worse restaurant she had ever been to. They had horrible service and horrible (cold steak) food, they then spoke to the manager of the place before they left who gave them a voucher to come back again with free wine and all. They went back again and said the service/food was much better the second time but will never go again. As far as NYC restaurants are concerned, I like trying out new places but when I hear stories of awful service, bad food, arrogance, snottiness, etc. I do not go there. There are way too many good restaurants in the city to go to instead of a place where you won't get treated well specially when you are not going to a run of the mill restaurant and are actually paying a lot.
