I just flew from JFK via the terminal 4 (it is from where Emirates fly too)....

There is an AirTrain that runs between different terminals and you would have to take it to go to terminal 4.

Check in area is on the 4th floor and there are a lot of Fast food shops on the 3rd.

There is McDonald's, Au Bon Pain, Sbarro's, KFC etc....

It's busy, just like every other international airport.

But you just have to check in at the Emirates counter, pick up your boarding pass and then go to the 3rd floor, where there is the food court and also the gates to enter for the flight.

Enjoy your flight and have a safe trip.

Last year i had taken a connecting flight to the JFK with in USA.

They did not give me the boarding pass for Emirates at my first airport in USA. My connecting flight was UA.

But I had to take the boarding pass for Emirates at the JFK (Terminal 4).

Although they did check in my luggage at the first airport all the way to Pakistan.
