Why does this freak want to compete against men in the PGA tour? Isn't there an LPGA tour for women? Are men allowed to play in the LPGA - no. Are men allowed to play in the WNBA - no. So why should this brute be allowed in the men's tour. What is next? Women who get testosterone injected to look like Hulk Hogan?

she wants to play coz there is more money and she has got nothing to loose. if she wins then she will improve her image. maybe she can earn extra money with advertisment and so on.
i don't think it should be an issue if one is a good player

She already gets the money in the LPGA. And sponsors are not going to hire her to promote men's products. Who would buy an aftershave or Hanes men's underwear promoted by Annika?

How many times have u seen aftershave ad with only a man in it?
Important question is what have u got against her playing in men's tournament. I think it is just another step towards a unisex tournament. If women can do better than men then why not have it.

That is fine, but in sports we have to accept that men and women are built differently by nature. And this is just an ugly publicity stunt - there is no way in hell she will come close to winning any tournament that has guys like Tiger Woods and Singh competing in it.

She's awesome!
As she started off her PGA tour, all media eyes were on her. She played really good with alot of pressure on her on first day. Seems like media has given her alot of attention, which I think her critics really never thought about.
Also, I heard her sister Charlotta Sorenstam(I believe that's the name, right?) has also started PGA. Is that true?

I think VJ SIngh turned out to be a whoos after all. This is PGA - NOT PGA for men or for women. Just good ol' plain PGA. SO whats the big deal in her having a swing at it?. I hope she wins the Colonoal Cup and put all men to shame. Go Annika. I only wish you had gotten a teeth whitening job beofre this highly publicized event. I bet Colgate is ringing her up as we speak.

Awesome ?? how ?? When did finishing 35 in a PGA where half of the top players are not playing became awesome ?
Although I dont agree with Vijay Singh's Logic that she is taking someone's slot, I dont think she is good enough to compete in men's tour. PGA is men's tour otherwise why would they have LPGA for women ?
Let them merge PGA and LPGA and let her play.

My point is that men shouldn't be cry babies competing with women. If women wana play along with men, all power to them. PGA shoould be open to all and LPGA should be for ladies only. For crying out loud, this is just golf not arena football.

I mean why do women have this urge to prove that they can compete with men. Why cant they be happy with competing against women ? What is the need for an LPGA then ?? If women think they can compete with men, then please do so in the PGA after LPGA is merged with it.

Not all women feel like Annika. If she has an extra dose of testosterone then so be it. let her play.

Women do compete with men in some tae-kwando and all that hoo-haa type sports but it wasn't an issue so why make it an issue now.

Khan Sahib, I dont think women compete with men in Taek-wondo.
As far as I know they have seperate world Championships for men and women in Taekwondo.
I am not against women competing against men in PGA. Please I am all for it, Let them compete in PGA after the LPGA is merged with PGA. They cant have the Cake and eat it too.

They should shut the LPGA down and let all the women compete for slots in the men's tournaments. Women like funguy will then complain too if only 1 or 2 women qualify to make the cut in every tournament.

I agree with Asif here.... whats the point of LPGA. And by the way if some guy thinks he is not good enough for PGA is it ok for him to compete in LPGA. If women want to compete with men thats fine just eliminate LPGA and have everyone compete in PGA. I can see even if they try that women will start crying in a few months as not a whole lot of them will be abel to qualify.

See in golf you dont compete against each other you compete against course.I dont have issue with she playing in men torunament if she qualifies through proper channel and qualifies for it. But if not then why give her a place of someone else whi might have qualified for that place. At one place you are talking about women being equal and at the same time giving her privilage of not qualifying just because she is women. This is hypocracy.
