It is such a negative storyline, just unbelievable. It is widely known that Vince subjects himself and his employees to every publicity, positive and negative. This is possibly one of the all-time lows. It is so horrible that almost all major media outlets and publishers have picked up on this story and have literally translated into a real-life storyline with condolences being sent to McMahon family. The company was not expecting this amount of blow-up. Read some of the news items below -
------------------------
The Wilkes-Barre police department received over 50 calls asking about the condition of McMahon.
------------------------
Ken Curige passed along the following report to PWInsider.com:
In a "wow, I don't believe some people are fooled" moment, I was driving to work this morning and a local Connecticut radio station ( Kiss 95.7 ) was doing their daily "Hollywood Report" segment.
Basically the segment is a gossip page speaking about what's going on in Hollywood. This morning the segment reported the following, "In a scary moment, on live TV last night, Vince McMahon, the President of Stamford based WWE was killed when his limousine exploded on live TV. I would assume an investigation is in the works, but we'd like to send our condolences to his family and friends."
They then spoke for a minute or so about how that clip will probably become internet banter on sites like YouTube and whatnot, and they even spoke about "that wrestler who fell a few years ago", I can only assume they meant Owen Hart.
At first I thought it was tongue in cheek, but amazingly enough they were actually serious, which is scary.
I'm not sure if other places are reporting it as well, but I've been asked several times at work thus far today about "What happened to Vince last night?", all by non-wrestling fans.
If this is the publicity they want, I guess they're getting it, but why they'd want that kind of publicity is beyond me.

Yeah, it is pretty pathetic. I wonder where they go from here. I mean, he is going to be seen in public and that'll shatter the illusion.
Honestly, I think they will concentrate more on the culprit. Might have a whodunnit type storyline? Who knows?
PS: Man, I love JBL. Best commentator.

You are right, this storyline has a whodunnit written all over it.
JBL, far mediocre to a below average in-ring worker, and an excellent commentator. Him and Tazz will make a great pair, side by side. They had clashes in the past, all of them and JBL (arguably) outshined them all, followed very closely by Tazz. Michael Cole is not far behind, too. This guy's history skills is brushed up really good. Cole's memory is just too strong. A lot of the times he has been so direct with his confrontations with JBL that they have overshadowed the duo of King and JR.

Thank you God, it will finally come to a screeching halt. A reign of a single man - an ordinary wrestler at best - overpowering anyone and everyone in sight, without any signs of losing. Handicap matches, 3-on-1's, giants, over-sized T-rex's who have no place near the face of professional wrestling......at Summerslam, Orton will thankfully be the company's top-level heel and him and Cena will later be fed to Triple H. All for the better. Instead of screaming, now little children can go and play with actual toys and bobbleheads rather than ruining the championship reign for all who watch. Good riddance, John Cena.

This is making him look animalistic?
Well, he speaks in a similar manner as his backstage interviews are conducted, although there is a touch of softness involved.

My sentiments exactly. Every PPV is the same. He gets dominated for over half of the match, then performs FU or some other move, and is the champ. The crowd really back him, which ticks me off as he really isn't that great a wrestler. Should have lost to Bobby Lashley, but hopefully Orton will win at Summerslam.

Anyone with creative juices, I am looking for sign ideas, creative posters, humorous lines. It will be for a Smackdown house show. I am looking to make one for each of the following:
a) Mike Chioda
b) Mark Henry
c) John Morrison
d) Finlay
e) Khali
f) MVP
g) Something to relate to Long/Kristal marriage
h) Anything else you can think of (unique and reasonable enough to pass through the security)

Yes, thank you. There has been lots of speculations and rumors about steroids in the industry, as quite a number of wrestlers have admitted taking them very recently. Hopefully it's roots will soon be completely weeded out, the media have gone haywire in combining wrestling and steroids together in their stories.

Thoughts on the PPV? Another one in the bag for Cena. Just stunned at the booking he has gotten. Kennedy, reported to get one of the major pushes in coming weeks, was pinned clean. Zero title changes on the second biggest PPV of the year. Just stunned at this.

In my opinion...
HHH is next champion for sure!
Khali will remain champion for some time... Batista is not going to get title from him, but we can still expect few more matches...
at the same time i agree , it is amazing none of the titles changed at SS.

They completely killed the ******* son storyline. Kennedy would have been perfect . I still hope this is a swerve and Kennedy will be the "real" ******* son Vince had been looking for!

The only possible way they could have dragged the angle down and out, and they went ahead and did it. The worst possible way to conclude a well-thought angle, a series of segments to build and give the credibility to a superstar who is an upper mid-carder and give him a push of his life. This is the third time that Ken Kennedy has been robbed, and I mean literally. First he was to win the World Heavyweight Championship at this past Wrestlemania; the angle was dropped due to him sitting on the injured list. When he did win the MITB contract at Mania, he soon lost it out to Edge as he had to undergo another major surgery. He is now suspended for a 30-day WWE wellness policy. Third time that a guy has been robbed of his opportunity. Ken Kennedy would have already been one of the top superstars right now.
I wouldn't be surprised if the viewing audience have to push themselves a little further to get themselves interested in watching RAW. How on earth can this benefit Hornswoggle is beyond me. One scenario that could be played out is that they might want to extend this angle further by stating that Triple H tampered with the DNA test results. Judging by how Trips was hysterical, I think that is the only possibility left in furthering this storyline.
My two cents on the matter. :-)

Undertaker given precedence over the company titles?
This PPV has been a disappointment. A non-title match headlining was a major blow. Regardless of whether the ring was to be blown to pieces or Henry set on fire, Undertaker's hold over the major titles, all of the storylines associated with it and every little segment that was put together does not warrant a PPV headline. The crowd was dead silent after the WWE title match. I have seen Steven Richards get a bigger reaction on Sunday Night Heat.
Unforgiven, a stepping stone to the upcoming No Mercy PPV. When will WWE put an end to this? Every PPV seems a throw-away to the next event.
