What is happening to the football world
Only because of their money a third-rate team such a Man City can buy the best player in the world????
What are your thoughts on this? Is money finally taking over football totally?

Thankfully any sort of deal has been quashed, Berlusconi announced to the Italian Media that Kaka has made it clear he wants to stay at Milan. I for one am happy.
I personally think Man City are going to struggle to land the quality players they are seeking, for one they are a project in its early stages and two they just dont have the history and the prestige that successful big clubs have.

money always talks, the top teams were able to get better players because thru TV revenue and all they had better coffers, then came sponsorships and all. so they had more funds than other teams and could get better players and thus stay on top..but such has been the case with other teams as well. chelski for example.
european football may need to steal a page from NFL and drafting so top new talent does not always go to top bidder. keeps things more interesting, thats why yoi see once powerful teams like 49'ers or cowboys or broncos or bills struggle later.

Transfers off. Kaka used his head and realised Man City have no chance of guaranteeing him Champions League football let alone challenging for the title in the Premiership no matter how much money their filthy rich owner Sheikh pumps into 'em.

Pir saab we might be relegated this year unless a rich Sheikh buys us and we bring in some quality players.

sheikhs have been hit hard by the economy as well. but even if you guys get relegated, I am sure you will be back shortly. I dont think toons will be relegated, i think they will pull away.

In related transfer news, Arshavin is finally moving to Arsenal. It can become a deadly partnership with Van Persie

Even football has become a Show now. Not quality is necessary, money talks! The Arabs, the true Muslims, doing alot for the world! I hope Kaka stays in Milan and doesn't play for money in Man City! This is disgusting!

At this point, I think they will try to do some behind the scenes negotiation, galaxy's statements seem more like posturing to get more for him, the question is whether Milan will go for it.
