What is the standard of Pakistani hockey team internationally? Are there any hopes to improve?

This morning I woke up and turned on TV to see if there would be a good news but again, the same news were waiting there, that Pakistan lost v/s Korea:
Analysts commented that Pakistan played well but Korea kept the possession of ball and hit the only goal just before five minutes of finish to win the trophy.
And I think the chances for Pakistan to be in the world cup also died with that.

So the trend continues, win every match, lose the most important one... Not exactly the first time they have lost the most important match of a tournament. Oh well, maybe next time...
