PIA launches e-ticketing

LAHORE: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has launched a mobile reservation service and e-ticketing via automated teller machines (ATMs). PIA is the first South Asian airline to provide this service to its passengers....

By offering this service, PIA became the first airline to introduce seat reservation by mobile phones, soon to be followed by ticket purchase and flight check-in via cell phones.

The service, currently accessible via General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) at PIA Mobile, will also be introduced via SMS later. Both services offer round-the-clock, seven-days-a-week accessibility to PIA customers.
