Practically no opposition has been formed to check and balance the present government. I think some strong opposition is needed to see how this government is performing. Though this coalition government is infant state, sooner it will grow and stabilize itself and get corrupted as usual. Imran Khan can play a vital role and get himself in the parliament ASAP.

There is only one party in the opposition really, the Q people. Now, I wouldnt say they are doing a bad job as the opposition but it wasnt really a party to begin with, just a bunch of sellouts who were offered a piece of the pie that musharraf was munching on. The rest of the old govt, the mqm and some other parties that supported the Q league wouldnt go sit in the opposition, because they have no principles to begin with.

sherdil123 bhaijan. Why does one need an opposition? Do you not believe that PPP/PML(N) coalition can deliver on its promises?

Every democratic government needs a strong honest opposition to see how the government is functioning. Country needs not only strong opposition but also neutral judiciary, to bring every person including a top general, pm or president to court if they violet country's laws. I don't know which counntry are you living? Is not that country practices what I said earlier? If not then you must be living in Karachi ruled by people for the last nine years, do not know what damocracy and rule of law are?
