let's have an voice. What can they do? What do you fear? what about Amnesty International? Or are they sold, too? Even if she is was an Terrorist - God forbid - there is no need for what is going on now with her. Where are her kids?

Pray for her, pray for her, this is the only thing we can do for her right now. Pray for all who are in trouble. This is the Muslim Ummah? The ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN sell their people for $$$. What a shame.

Who said that the Ummah will be tested by the money and fail, again?

Interestingly, she hasn't been indicted for terrorism. The entire legal case against her is for allegedly trying to shoot american soldiers during her interrogation.

No terrorism charges in Aafia's indictment | Pakistan | News | Newspaper | Daily | English | Online

According to the indictment, Siddiqui faces one count of attempting to kill US nationals abroad; one count of attempting to kill US officers and employees; one count of armed assault of US officers and employees; one count of using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence; and three counts of assault of US officers and employees.

"If convicted, Siddiqui faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison on each of the attempted murder and armed assault charges; life in prison on the firearm charge; and eight years in prison on each of the remaining assault charges," it said.

If she was truly innocent, the americans would have let her go. They have already released many from guantanomo bay.

Everything about her behavior is suspicious, the fact she married a senior al-queda member, the fact she left usa to go to afghanistan etc etc.

She is a scientist, could she have been in a long term sleeper agent? Maybe she was researching how to do some serious chemical/biological attacks on USA using her expertise?

I work in NYC and close to Times Square and I am in a prime target area for terrorist attack. So my belief is to be better safe than sorry.

After all the authentic proofs provided about her innocence by different sources, it is very sad to know that some people still think of such a possibility.

Free Dr Aafia Siddiqui

This has a lot of information.

I really cannot fathom what she went through with her kids.
I cannot believe that this frail woman can shoot those men...lies

Also from the website Information regarding support
Aafia Siddiqui

MDC BROOKLYN
METROPOLITAN DETENTION CENTER
P.O. BOX 329002
BROOKLYN, NY 11232

Aafia's lawyers advise that when writing you do not discuss or solicit information regarding her case or the charges against her, her whereabouts or those of her children for the past five years. You can send photographs along with your letters but no packages.

You can send books, newspapers and magazines directly from the publishers (such as www.barnesandnoble.com or www.amazon.com). Aafia has requested a daily newspaper and books on nature. If you want to ensure that she has not already received a copy of the item you wish to send then please email Sarah Kunstler at sarah@fkolaw.com

If you prefer you can email messages of support for Aafia Siddiqui to contact@cageprisoners.com

Please send any messages of support to her family to contact@cageprisoners.com

Latest is that the court process has now been delayed. Dr Aafia's defence lawyers say that she refused to come to court to plead not guilty to the charges because she didn't want to be strip-searched, a process that all prisoners go through when moving between federal lockups and courthouses.

The new court appearance is scheduled for September 22nd and the judge has ordered her defence laywers to either persuade her to agree to come to court (and thus be strip searched), or to agree to enter her plea via video camera link from jail.

He's also ordered her defence lawyers to assess whether Dr Aafia is competent to stand trial.

Interestingly enough, A government official briefed on the case has told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity that the New York landmarks were a "wish list" of potential targets but that there was no evidence of a credible plot..

This lady has been in their custody since so long and this is just so shocking.

Update:

She refused to come to court again. Therefore the judge has entered a "Not Guilty" plea on her behalf.

However, now even the US government prosecutor who is supposed to make the case against her is saying that she is in no condition to stand trial and needs psychiatric care instead.

http://www.pakistanlink.com/Headlines/Sep08/24/13.htm

In a letter to US District Judge Richard Berman, US Attorney Michael Garcia said that there was reason to believe Siddiqui, who has refused to co-operate with prison doctors, is suffering from a mental disease and is unfit to stand trial. The letter, which was made public on Tuesday, asked for a competency hearing and complete psychiatric evaluation. Garcia asked the court to find that “there is a reasonable cause to believe that the defendant may be suffering from a mental disease or defect rendering her incompetent to enter a plea or stand trial”.

Judge enters Aafia Siddiqui’s not guilty plea -DAWN - Top Stories; September 25, 2008

NEW YORK, Sept 24: Judge Richard M. Berman entered on Tuesday not guilty plea on behalf of Pakistani neuroscientist Aafia Siddiqui as she again refused to come to the court.

At the Manhattan court hearing Judge Berman said he would order a “full medical and physical” evaluation of Ms Siddiqui next week whether or not she was competent to stand trial.

The judge also set Dec 17 as the next hearing date and set a tentative trial date for March 9, 2009.

Ms Siddiqui’s lawyer, Elizabeth M. Fink, has also written to the judge about her client’s mental state, citing what she called “the urgent need to treat her in a hospital setting”.—Correspondent
