the NATION did not speak against musharraf. It was mainly nawaz sharif with his party supporters, lawyers and zardari with his party workers.
We all know how broad based our political parties are. Their vote getting ability is limited to their personal domains, which are controlled by thugs and gangsters.
Pakistan is a country of 160 million..and i firmly believe that if each person was to be questioned, there would be more voting against zardari/sharif, than there would be voting against musharraf.
Theres no democracy in pakistan. PPP came into power because Benazir died. And ppp is led by benazirs hand picked successor, bilawal, alongwith her husband, whos effectively incharge now.

Waise yeh baat to theek hai ke benazir ki death ke aad ppp ko humdardi ke vote mile hain. Musharraf is better than these two thugs.

a country with a mega corrupt president! end of the day Pakistanis deserve him. its also pity as they have voted for bhutto but got zardari instead. this "democratic" party bhutto family concern high jacked by zardari. without the bhutto name attached to it will fall apart, it is stupidly a monarchy
any sincere officer rank person from any Pakistani department including musharraf can beat this scum on all grounds, ability, education, reliability. he cant even be compared to a new joiner
personally i would support zardari as head of government as people have voted them and they should get the taste of it for full 5 years- that is if we still had some money left in reserves. I think if AZ really puts his "skills" to build up Pak reserves like he has done for his own, Pakistan could do wonders he just need to channelise his abilities toward Pakistan.

I think if Zardari is elected president we should all support him. In democracy will of the people matters & if that is will of the people we should respect it.
Life is a tale told by idiots... full of sound and fury signifying nothing.

^ well I'm not crazy about having Zardari as president either, but if he is elected he cant be worse than the previous guy. Beside, presidential post is suppose to be ceremonial anyway, so what damage he can he possibly do?

Elected by who? I didnt vote for him. You probably didnt bhai saab! Would the common man (who would bother to vote) vote for him? I think not.
Your joking when you say he cant be worst then the previous guy...right?
In any case...taking into account everyone's disdain for the former president im surprised people havent taken the to the streets regarding the nomination of this new president!!!!

lol you people need to realize that in reality, without the 58-2b the presidency is a lame duck titlular role, even a monkey can be president. Also, do you guys think Zardari is powerless if hes not the president? He sent a 9 year old dictatorship packing, so that speaks alot about his power. If he was the PM, then I'd be worried, but then again, he is the PM, sort of.
Second star to the right and straight on till morning

I doubt if zardari sent the 9 year old dictator packing all by himself. US of A was obviously unwilling to play ball with Musharraf anymore so he was disposed off. Musharraf was not needed any more.
He is becoming President because Uncle Sam wishes it so....plain and simple. We have their feet on our necks....and theyve always squeezed us so!
