      Dear All!

I was replying to a post regarding Pak flags in Assam, when I thought of starting a new thread on this topic. In-fact it was interesting to find certain similarities between the two. So far I have enumerated only 20 in the following. Lets see how many more others can find.

      1. Pakistan gains Independance on 14th August 1947 : India follows suite the very next day.

      2. Ruler of Hindu majority Junagarh willing to join Pakistan : Ruler of Muslim majority Kashmir willing to join India.

      3. Indians entered Junagarh and Manawadar : No Pakistani parallel.

      4. Hyderabad Dakkan invaded and captured by Indian Army : No Pakistani parallel.

      5. Indian Army Occupies Kashmir and calls the rest, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir : Pakistanis label the Indian side as, Occupied Kashmir. Azad Kashmir liberated by Kashmiris, Poonchees, Afridis from NWFP and Sialkotees from Punjab.

      6. Liaqat Ali Khan killed by a Muslim : Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi killed by a Hindu.

      7. Three Miltary rules in Pakistan : No Indian parallel.

      8. Indian Politics dominated by Congress and Nehru-ism : Pakistani Politics dominated by PPP and Bhutto-ism.

      9. India disintegrates Pakistan in 1971 by creating Bangladesh : No Pakistani parallel.

      10. PNA, IJI & MMA type Pro-Islamic Parties lead to ouster of PPP from the scene : Pro-Hindu BJP, RSS etc send Congress home.

      11. Indira Gandhi, an Indian Lady remained PM more than once : Pakistani Lady Benazir Bhutto, remained PM more than once.

      12. Nehru, Indira & Rajiv troika in India : Bhutto, Benazir & Zardari troika in Pakistan.

      13. Indira's elder son, Sanjay Gandhi dies in a mysterious Air Crash : Bhutto's elder son Shahnawaz Bhutto found dead mysteriously.

      14. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Pak Army handle insurgency in Balochistan: Indira Gandhi and Indian Army hunt Sikhs in Punjab.

      15. Indra Gandhi ransacks The Sikh Golden Temple : Pervez Musharraf mishandles The Red Mosque issue.

      16. Indira Gandhi gets Sikh Leader Sant Jernail Singh Bhindranwala killed : Pervez Musharraf gets rid of Baloch Leader Nawab Akbar Bugti.

      17. Indira Gandhi assassinated by aggrieved Khalistan Sikhs : Benazir Bhutto killed by aggrieved Taliban sympathisers.

      18. India actively gets involved in Sri-Lanka and supports Tamils against Sinhalis : Paksitan gets involved in Afghanistan and supports Mujahideen vs Russians and later Taliban vs Northern Allaince.

      19. Indira's younger son Rajiv Gandhi killed in a bomb attack : Bhutto's younger son Murtaza Bhutto dies in a gun battle.

      20. Siachen adventure started by India : Kargil adventure tried by Paksitan.

      These events may not be in chronological order but they actually speak of the similarities of the two countries. Apart from them, there may be many more but I suppose, 20 will suffice at this moment. Now forgoing in view of the above;

Lets see when do we see Military rule in India.

Lets see when Paksitan gets a chance to take back Junagarh, Manawadar and Hyderabad.

      Lets see when India disintegrates.................

      Regards for all of you.

I believe, Pakistan and India came into existence the same day, 15th, but Pakistan chose the 14th (officially).

point 5 is some what confusing.. it says indian army enters kashmir and calls rest as pok that means rest of kashmir was already occupied by pakistan..

so it should read as -
India enters jungarh, hydarabad, pak enters kashmir.. so there is match for both countries..

And now both countries have nuclear power, i don't think anyone can enter india or pakistan (for arguments sack) without destroying each other first. when nothing is left after destruction what's point !!

So chill out and dont make others to R.I.P.

^ India's support for the Northern Alliance didn't mean anything, didn't accomplish anything either, so can be pretty much left out.
