An Earth Quake with magnitude of 6.4 or 6.5 in the areas of Northren Punjab and Pakhtonkhaw(NWFP).Also Azad Kashmir.
Today at 1-53 am.PST summer times.
No major loss yet reported.
Centre was reported as Koh e Hindokash.
Depth; 180 K.M.

A few ijured are reported in Swat and one of them a lady expired in result of heart attack.

Probably becasue the sun come close to the earth in winter and there is some sort of gravitational forces coming from sun that inceases the activity in earth's crust. This is my guess only.

ISLAMABAD: Strong tremors have been felt in many areas of Punjab and NWFP.
According to Geo New, at 11:45PM strong tremors have been felt in Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Mansehra, Muzaffarabad, Swat, Abbotabad, Dera Ghazi Khan and other adjacent areas.
The tremors continued for over 30 seconds causing panic in the people.

Oh this was only 10 KM in depth like the one in 2005. It would have caused a lot destruction if lasted for more time.

I don't think that is the case, I might be wrong, but sun coming close to earth should cause temperatures to go up which is not the case in winters.

It should be. But the fact is that distance between the Sun and the Earth becomes shorter in Northerns Hemisphere' winter.

May Allah keep all of Pakistanis safe..,what do u think can be the possible cause of such earth quakes in winter, i wanna know bcoz it doesn't seem a good sign to have such earthquakes so frequently
