KHAR: Two women teachers were gunned down in Shandai Mor area of Bajaur on Wednesday.
According to eyewitnesses, masked gunmen stopped a vehicle, dragged the women out and sprayed them with bullets. Two men sitting in the vehicle also suffered bullet wounds.
The women were going home from their school in Khar.
The incident took place in a high security zone where there are many security checkposts.
Sources said that Shazia Begum and Shamim Begum worked in a government-run community school.
They belonged to Malakand district and lived in a government colony. Their bodies were sent to their villages.
The injured were identified as Liaquat and Nadir.
Meanwhile, security forces captured 12 suspected militants during search operations in Khar and Mamond areas and two militants, Mahmood Khan and Ziaur Rehman, surrendered.
Troops destroyed the house of suspected militant leader Sher Khan in Khar.

It is really very Sad news killing Women Teachers , on the other hand it is disgusting and shamfull too.

In North Waziristan Agency there are many Newly open Govt Community schools(For Girls) and many of the Teachers are from settled areas like Mardan , Bannu , Sawabi etc.

They were so convenient there , while teaching there and staying at our homes with Tribal families , they were feeling themselves previleged and respectable because the Treat they were having from Tribal people.

But , as soon as this "War of Terror" started , the scenario changed and those schools are nearly closed, those which are running are located in Govt Colony Prmises.

Loose canons at best, and in the words of a respected scholar "Misguided missiles" at worst. Their time is drawing near, and God Willing the God fearing people of Pakistan will be victorious over all who wish to terrorize, spread chaos. Just as Swat was swept clean, all these areas will be sweeped too. It's only a matter of time now.

All those who lost their lives either directly, or indirectly as a result of these maniacs will not be forgotten in vain. Their sacrifices will make Pakistan victorious over oppressors of all shapes, colors, beliefs, and sizes. Including these zealots that identify with Islam, yet do everything that goes against the faith. It's extreme right lynching in reaction to extreme left, but it's the moderate way of the middle that is being slaughtered and attacked, majority of which happen to be ordinary men, women, and children who just want a peaceful nation to lead them into the future.

As the OP mentioned, it's extremely sad indeed. Islam gives first preference to education for all, yet these people will have you believe otherwise.

yeah we shud condemn this act but we shud not forget that the drone attacks by USA are doing same ............ killings the innocent ppl ............... as the ratio of US attacks is alwayz subject to high level of collateral damages.

Justifying the killings of innocent teachers due to US drone attacks is really shameful. These actions cannot be justified on what-so-ever-basis...

Saying they killed innocent teachers because US killed civilians in drone attacks is a kind of fraud which Pakistanis today do not want to buy... this mentality is sick, self destructive, and shameful!

We must condemn these crimes without ifs and buts... period!!!!

This is just sad and disgusting! They must have been strong women to be teaching in that area.
My heart goes out to their families.

What kind of terror are they trying to spread? With threatening the schools, killing teachers?May Allah help Pakistan.
