Another Pakistan Day being celebrated today, in fact the 65th (in independent Pakistan) but during this period the country has regressed instead of progressing. Operations are being carried out in more than half of the country, economy is in tatters and the people divided more than ever.

Pray that this Pakistan day proves to be the starting point for a new, progressive and strong Pakistan.

Pakistan Day being celebrated with great fervour | Pakistan | DAWN.COM

KARACHI: The Pakistan Day is being celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal through the country on Friday, DawnNews reported.

The celebrations were initiated by 31 gun salutes in Pakistan’s capital city Islamabad whereas, 21 gun salutes took place in the provincial capitals.

Special prayers for the prosperity of Pakistan were held all over the country after the Fajr prayers.

In Lahore, the Pakistan Air Force’s squad took charge at the Iqbal’s mausoleum.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah along with other cabinet’s officials paid tribute at the Quaid’s mausoleum.

On March 23, 1940, a resolution was passed which negated the concept of United India and recommended the creation of an independent Muslim state.

Hence, it was on the basis of this resolution that in 1946 the Muslim League decided to go for one state for the Muslims, instead of two.

The parade has been shifted to YouTube for security concerns. You can see it there anytime.

I wanted to find out if Bangladesh commemorates the 23rd March Lahore resolution in any form as it is their history also. The resolution was presented by the Sher-e-Bangal Maulana Fazal-ul-Haq.

I think it was called the Pakistan resolution, though I would ask uncle nazir naji for his insight, but I am 100% sure it wasn't called the pakistan and bangladesh resolution.
    Say no to 'islamofascism'..

Anyway, for what it matters, the day was actually March 24. The event was held from March 22 to March 24, and the resolution was passed on the 24th, after a couple of days of speeches and discussions. I never understood how we started celebrating it on the 23rd.

I liked that show and was going to post it also.
The first half of the show is dedicated to Abul Kalaam's analysis and predictions.
It's good to know all that information.

Ultimately it comes down to the fact that when the natives can't resolve their issues themselves
(in this case, Hindus and Muslims of India before partition) undesirable outcomes happen and
outside exploiters take advantage of the differences for their own gain.

This theory can be applied to 1971 break-up of Pakistan and [God-forbid, khaakam badehen] any future break-up of Pakistan.

Can you imagine what a power-house a United India would be today ?

Would the imperialist West ever like or want that ?

For now South Asian countries are just mandees for their killing machines while most of the natives live in abject poverty.

Maybe one day South Asians will learn this lesson and get smart.
