Soup isn't raw. Eggs are fine (and good!) if cooked.
Avoid sushi made with raw fish and avoid unpasteurized cheeses.

Eggs are great during pregnancy...this is assuming you are buying eggs in a carton from the refrigerated section of your local grocery store and not directly picking them from under a hen! Eggs have omegas and protein which are greatly beneficial for you and the child. Store bought eggs are pasteurized and safe to consume.
Raw fruits and vegetables are high in nutritional content so consuming them is great as well.
Soups are wholesome and comforting and nutritious.
So the only "raw" I'd stay away from are undercooked meats and chicken and fish.

is it true that you should have separate cutting/chopping boards for handling raw meats (prior to cooking them, of course), and everything else?
i'm wondering how careful you should be?

Eggs are very good IF THEY ARE COOKED THOROUGHLY - U must NOT eat soft egg yolk, it should b cooked so its firm. This is bcos raws eggs sometimes contain salmonella.
Also keep away from liver, soft UNPASTEURISED cheeses and cured meats.
One must make a mark in this world, if I am remembered for anything, let it be cheese and crackers...

^ I couldn't resist licking the cookie bowl the other day.
I am a bad mommy. :sigh:
SGC: I separate them when using them, but post-dishwasher, I figure it's all the same.

You should be careful with chicken especially if you are using a wooden block/board as the juices can get absorbed by the grain of the wood. In that case, wash your board with hot soapy water several times and dry.

^ If you put the egg in boiling water for soup, isn't it cooked?
Just cook your eggs! You can eat them! They are good for you!
