any cream with ZINC OXIDE should do. I dont remember the name but we used to get some "Dr...." cream for out kids. I was around 12/14 bucks a tube but worth it !

At times we also bought "A+D cream" and it also worked ok for us.

vaseline is a good option. I haven't had to deal with this so far, but I did look it up online a few days ago cause I noticed he had a tiny rash, but it was gone within a few hours. A natural remedy is vaseline to protect the skin from moisture. Do you use wipes? I rarely use them and prefer washing my baby with water instead.

If it gets to the point where the skin breaks due to the rash, then take him to the doctor ASAP, so that they can prescribe an ointment.

4 hours before a diaper change is a bit much. Maybe change it every 2.5 - 3 hours. Leaving them in moisture can cause more irritation.

Kindness is more important than wisdom, and the recognition of this is the beginning of wisdom.

Breezy

My daughter had that problem too, around a year ago. Her pediatrician asked me to use a hydrocortizone cream for a couple of days: I had to apply a very thin layer when I changed her diaper.... it worked so well, the pimply rashes disappeared in 2 days. Then I switched to Desitin for a couple of days just to be on the safe side... she was fine afterwards.
My advice, go to your pediatrician ASAP.

Use a thick layer of a diaper rash cream with Zinc in it. Leave him to air out for a bit before you put the diaper back on.
