both are formula milk directed towards babies with reflux that spit up (sometimes entire feeds)... they are anti regurgitation.
my son has reflux and spits up entire feeds sometimes.. its quite common and normal in most babies but to help them, doctors advise giving them prethickened milk .. so he has been drinking a milk called 'Novalac ar' but sadly, i cant find it in denmark (am vacationing in arabia)..
so i have to find another kind of AR milk and these are the only 2 i can find in denmark.. did some googling and was wondering if any guppie parents have tried any of the 2 said formulas. i dont know which one to get, though they say both do the same thing.. but from exp, my baby had to go thru 3 diff AR formulas before i found the one best suited for him.. and now i have to give up on it cuz i cant find it back home! aargh.
finding the right milk for ure baby is like the search for the holy grail!
u breast feeding moms have NO idea how lucky you are!!

I gave him Enfamil (but the regular one). That's what they give in the hospitals here too. I tried putting him on Nestle Goodstart, but it was really a 'bad' start. Gave him major constipation. Enfamil was a lot easier on his stomach. Now that he's turned one, he's on regular milk.
I've heard good things about Similac too, but I never tested it on him since he seemed to do well on Enfamil.

i googled and they actually have a official similac vs enfamil battle going on online but parents thought they both did the trick, as in reduce spitting up.. but both complained of constipation and hwo insanely thick the milk was.. the good thing bout his milk these days is , it doesnt thicken until stomach acids react with it.. it thickens in the stomach.. similac and enfamil are thick in the bottle..
sighz.. they give nutramigen here.. but it doesnt do the trick for spitting up.

I gave my children similac in hospitals they give the choice. But I asked my pediatrician in her view similac is much better but its her personal view. So you can give any of them.
