Is it difficult to conceive after having a miscarriage?
My first pregnancy caught me off guard. I guess we conceived after 3 months of not using any protection. It has been 4 months since the miscarriage happened.
I love junk food, i hate exercise, I hardly take my vitamins. I want to change all that, though, so i can carry a healthy baby. How much time do I need to reverse the damage, so to speak? Any advice on coping with this mentally and emotionally?

First of all , lets get a few things straight !
You seem to be somehow under the impression that the miscarriage was your fault !
1 out of 4 pregnancies ends in a miscarriage. Those are clinically detectable pregnancies and some women might miscarry without ever even having known that they were pregnant , whats called biochemical pregnancy so this figure may well be close to 40-50%.
Therefore you have NOT done any damage and you were NOT the reason you miscarried. Anyone who tells you that you were is grossly mistaken.
Yes a healthier lifestyle is always better and advocated and changing or modifying your lifestyle would be beneficial to you more than the baby or a future pregnancy since during a pregnancy the baby always gets all its nutrients from you and it is you who gets depleted and may have anaemia etc.
Take Folic acid regularly once a day , if your planning on conceiving and continue with it once you know your pregnant for the first three months. It decreases the risk of having babies with neural tube defects.
Good Luck !

dont be scared of getting pregnant........its better to be much mentally relaxed about it....and when mating the thought of being pregnant shouldnt be there...a healthy thought helps...a depressive one affects the body the hormones everything........so just enjoy your time
and yes loose weight ....its a major part
conceving in a year is normal otherwise see a doc
i totally agree with shyen

Sheyn aunty's lecture was awesome, way to go our resident OB. Anyway, my wife had two miscarriages before a term pregnancy. The losses were very hard on her and she had a really hard time. But the idea is to mourn appropriately and then keep trying. If you're a spiritual person just keep in mind that the Supreme One has a plan, He is the best planner. Looking back now, I think if we'd have one of those other two babies, we wouldn't have the perfect little girl that we have now. It all falls into place inshallah, the key is to relax and take it one day at a time and enjoy all the sexy time, "trying to get pregnant" sex is HORRIBLE!

Remedies from the Holy Quran - Science & Medicine, Books - Islamic Goods Direct
I have the book remedies of the Quran, this is a bargain price I paid a lot more in store.
There is a page which tells you if you are at risk of having a miscarriage then keep this verse on you. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks with my first pregnancy. When I got pregnant 2nd time I immediately copied the lines from the book and sewed a bit of cloth, like a belt style with the surah inside it, and wore it around my stomach, (just use a safety pin and leave plenty of cloth as you will need it as you get bigger inshallah, (just wear it all of your pregnancy)
oh yes remember to put cellotape or something to make the paper waterproof. and mark the belt so you remember right way up as the verses need to be facing the stomach.
And alhumdulillah I had a fantastic pregnancy and healthy child. I didn't suspect miscarriage the 2nd time but wearing it gave me some positive reassurance. So I recommend it to all.
Positive mind is important to be healthy. You don't want the baby to feel your negative thoughts.
Good luck
