And yes! I first went to Dr. Sadia Rizvi. She asked me if I'd had any surgery in the past year. I asked whether an eye laser surgery about 11 months back mattered. She said it did matter n that I should have a c-section. I was a lil skeptical n called up my ophthalmologist who was surprised at the idea of a c-section coz of an eye laser. I checked with another gyn n she too said there isn't any need for a surgery. So I guess Dr. Rizvi was simply after my money. Plus ages quite expensive anyways.
I never went back to her

DR. Rubina may be a good doctor but I have doubts about Ziauddin. As far as I know (my info can be wrong also) that they still do c section in traditional vertical way. The hospital lacks in basic cleanliness and hygiene. But everyone has his/her own opinion.
My emergency case was done by Dr. Aliya Aziz at Agha Khan UNiversity Hospital. She did a fine job. I can recommend her to you. Also, there is another gynea named DR. Nilofer Babar at Agha Khan Karimabad , it's very hard to get her appt but she is very good.

Well, nothing to say about the Gynae as Im a male here, but regarding the attitude of this lady who is well known as Dr. Saadia Rasool Virk Saadia Rizvi is really a women having full time attitude, she is really not a good women as far as the profession is concerned. I had the opportunity to work for her and yes, she is only after the monies ... My advise, never go for Saadia Rizvi !!!

Wow! Our appointment is in a few weeks........so I'm going to think it over. According to the referral desk at AKU, she is the senior doc over there in that department and came recommended.
We did see another female doc a week ago at AKU, but decided to see Dr. Aliya for our follow-up.
Will keep you guys updated.

Only my c section was done by Dr.Aliya otherwise for checkups through out my pregnancy I went to another doctor. An emergency c section had to be performed so my dr referred my case to dr. aliya. I can't say if she is rude or dry. But in my case , she was there on time and since the baby was in danger & so was I , the operation was completed in 20 minutes. I can tell you that my case got very messed up in the end and she handled it very well.
my daughter's father was not with me through out & she understood it and was very kind towards me.Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity !

Yup, there are very famous male gynecologists in Karachi. Dr. Majeed Memon is one and Dr. SherShah Syed as well. Dr. Sethna retired last year.
