How safe it is to take anti nausea and anti vomitting tablets? I am 7 and half wks preggo and since start of 5th wk I couldnt keep anything down. Not even water. My doc recommended me this tablet called Envepe and 4 per day. I am taking 2 tablets and still throwing up. In the back of my mind I am guilty of taking these tablets and I am scared if it would harm my baby. So please all moms and mom to bes, please tell me that nothing is wrong in taking them and they do no harm to the babies!p.s I am posting from my phone and its not introducing paras. Sorry :s

I don't know anything about that particular med, but a quick google search came up with this:

RG Pharmaceutica (Pvt.) Ltd. Page 15.

If your OB/GYN prescribed it, must be ok!

Have you tried natural remedies like ginger tea/ginger biscuits? Or dry saltine crackers?

I never suffered from nausea/vomiting in either of my pregnancies, sorry I can't be of much help

If your doc prescribed you the medicine who knows you are pregnant, it should be okay. But if you are in Pakistan, I recommend seeking second opinion. ( based on my experience with the docs there)

I had nausea before I found out about pregnancy and continued until the 17th week..I was given zofran...sometimes it helped but other times it didn't! Make sure you keep yourself hydrated though... At this stage that s critical. I was given ketone test papers to test everyday and report o the doc if the numbers were low, they would then get me to the hospital and give fluids through IV so check that as well.

if your doctor's given you the all-clear, then whats the problem? stop feeling guilty about making yourself feel better. sheesh.

i took diclectin for my nausea- up to 6 a day because, like you, i couldn't keep anything down. once the vommiting stopped, i stopped using them, and went on to have a very healthy, over 9lb baby mA.

If you are worried talk to your doctor about it. No need to feel guilty.

Just based on the link Khatti had regarding your medication (Envepe) and the medication Smoothgroovychick named (Diclectin)............both of them have the exact same ingrediants which are safe to use during pregnancy, so no need to be worried.
Just because you have an avocado .................doesn't mean you have guacamole
