Incredible as it may seem, archaeologists have found evidence in India and Pakistan, indicating that some cities were destroyed in atomic explosions. When excavations of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro reached the street level, they discovered skeletons scattered about the cities, many holding hands and sprawling in the streets as if some instant, horrible doom had taken place. People were just lying, unburied, in the streets of the city. And these skeletons are thousands of years old, even by traditional archaeological standards. What could cause such a thing? Why did the bodies not decay or get eaten by wild animals? Furthermore, there is no apparent cause of a physically violent death.

These skeletons are among the most radioactive ever found, on par with those at Nagasaki and Hiroshima. At one site, Soviet scholars found a skeleton which had a radioactive level 50 times greater than normal.

The Russian archaeologist A. Gorbovsky mentions the high incidence of radiation associated with the skeletons in his 1966 book, Riddles of Ancient History.27 Furthermore, thousands of fused lumps, christened "black stones", have been found at Mohenjo-Daro. These appear to be fragments of clay vessels that melted together in extreme heat.

Other cities have been found in northern India that show indications of explosions of great magnitude. One such city, found between the Ganges and the mountains of Rajmahal, seems to have been subjected to intense heat. Huge masses of walls and foundations of the ancient city are fused together, literally vitrified! And since there is no indication of a volcanic eruption at Mohenjo-Daro or at the other cities, the intense heat to melt clay vessels can only be explained by an atomic blast or some other unknown weapon.

The cities were wiped out entirely. If we accept the Lemurian Fellowship stories as fact, then Atlantis wanted to waste no more time with the Priest-Kings of Rama and their mental tricks. In terrifying revenge, they utterly destroyed the Rama Empire, leaving no country even to pay tribute to them. The areas around the cities of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro have also been desolated in the past, though agriculture takes place to a limited extent in the vicinity today. It is said in esoteric literature that Atlantis at the same time, or shortly afterwards, also attempted to subjugate a civilisation extant in the area of the Gobi Desert, which was then a fertile plain. By using so-called scalar wave weaponry and firing through the centre of the Earth, they wiped out their adversaries--and possibly did themselves in at the same time!

These verses are from the Mahabharata (written in ancient Dravidian, then later in Sanskrit) and describe horrific wars fought long before the recorder's lifetime.

This is a curious statement, as what other kind of foe different from a human might there have been? Are we talking about an interplanetary war?

some nations were completely wiped out by a scream that killed them on the spot....
i see this as a similar case....
when their time came, they were all taken by Allah's wrath....

armughal, can you think of a particular example that the Quran might have sighted or in Islamic literature that could correspond to this?

I wonder if its really radiation from the stipulated source. Pakistan isn't doing any radioactive experiments in the nearby area? Maybe there's some sort of hidden national lab nearby? Or is there a river running by these areas that could be taking along radioactive waste? A long shot, I know - but you never know.

Ive actually been to the site at Harappa (Im pretty sure thats what their talking about but I could be wrong) and doubt there were any experiments going on nearby and dont remember a major river nearby, it was quite a popluated area, so the effects would have become known.

Seems possible this could have been a punishment from Allah :swt:.

I doubt youd find anything specific to this incidence in Ilamic literature since most of the stories mentioned in the Quran take place in and around the middle east region.

These are theories based on findings... Not any news item

For example :

Fact : Dinosaurs disapeared suddenly few million years ago...

Reasons/Theories : climate change, commet collision with earth etc.

code_red, the most popular theory for why skeletal remains of the people of mohenjo-daro and harrapa were found strewn about randomly without burial is that they were struck by some form of natural disaster. flooding of the indus river was not uncommon in that period, and scholars even believe a devastating earthquake may have wiped out the civilizations.

code red's post appears kinda dubious cos the mahabharata was not written in a dravidian language at all.. it was written in vedic sanskrit first by a guy called ved vyas. please check the authenticity of ur facts before you post anything.. besides it defies logic as to how a people that had nuclear bombs didnt know abt something as fundamental as electricity.. there are no electric lines in the harappa ruins!! all that is there is remains of an urban prehistoric civilization for whom the basic building material was mud!!

the radioactive levels part is dubious at best.. with such high rates.. why isn't the whole area declared out of bounds and hazardous?

any levels detected could also have a celestial source.. meteors perhaps?

Desibanda -- maybe you are right about dravidian language but it is trival. Important part is content. I am no expert on mahabharta, may be you caould testify whether these quotes are actually from mahabharta or not

Also, why do you think these people needed wires to transfer electricity ? Can it not be 'wireless' like mother nature does every day around the globe ?
