Inshallah you will marry into a family that will love for you who you are and not your skin colour. Unfortunately the reality is that skin colour does matter, if not for the guy, then for someone in his family and they can make rude comments. I totally understand black beauty's position because I know girls that have to deal with it all the time. Luckily not everyone is like that and there are people out there that accept beauty beyond the colour of skin.

Don't use bleach it can permanenetly damage your skin and cause cancer later in life.

If you must then blend down a bit of cucumber (including the skin) and apply that where ever you want to go lighter every night and let it dry then go to bed and wash it off the next morning, you can do this every night or whenever possible.

you can also try mixing equal amounts of lemon (or lime) juice and honey and applying that for 25 minutes now and then and then washing off (if you've got oily skin use cucumber juice instead of the honey).

Or don't marry a freshy or someone with a freshy mum.

You have to be very careful with these skin lightening cremes. The chemical agent that does the lightening has some cancerous properties, so using it too much or getting your hands on a creme that has an excess percent of the substance in the creme can be dangerous.

Now why would you risk skin cancer for some paindoo aunties? I'd rather die single than put myself at that risk.

My skin color is dark too, but I've never bothered with that crap. Use skin scrubs and toners. They keep the skin clear and fresh. Also moisturize, take care of your diet etc. But your skin color is your color; its genetic, so you can't change your complexion dramatically. And you can use the creme, but its only temporary as well.

Besides, most desi girls with a darker complexion (which BY THE WAY, is MOST desi girls), lighten their complexion with some powder, concealers and/or foundation. They look light at dawats, but if you know them personally, you know they're a shade darker...

I thought that's how most people cheat the system

I dont know why this is big fuss with the girls. We guys dont care about our skin complexion at all.. Unfortunately, this is a janana thingie. I havent had time to look at the mirror in like 2 days.. our office mirror is under repair. Most of the Pakistanis are fair by the desi standards. Most of the Indians are dark.

so, u r sayin' that u wont bleach ur skin for the Pakistani woman who'll become ur mother-in-law.. hard to believe. Have seen girls talking that crap but they all end up obeying paindu aunties and bend over to do anything to save their marriage... good luck PCG Even girls like Saima multani would be doing that to Syed Noor's mother.

      Brilliant advice.

Any guy would prefer a dark skinned girl with pretty features and flawless skin over a light skinned girl with 'out of proportion' features and unhealthy skin, I've noticed that the darker girls usually have the prettiest features and the clearest skin.

      I have seen this work...

1 tube of Fair n Lovely
1 Stillman's Bleach Cream ( the one with a green top)
1 Archie Cream ( it's a small yellow colored cream easily available in Pakistan..actually it's quite famous and so is this 'nuskha' in Pakistan specially among college girls)

Mix all of the above well and apply a thin film on ur skin at night....do not rub too much into the skin

I've seen sooooo many girls get 'chitti' using this formula..but like all whitening creams this is not permanent ....you will get a fair complexion in about 4 weeks time but once you stop using the cream ur original color returns......so maybe u can use it till u get married and discontinue use afterwards....becuase I wouldn,t recommend an extended use of anything chemical....

      A Desi Method:

I have heard this works too...Soak 'channay ki daal' in milk overnight and in the morning grind it into a mixture...apply onto skin and wash ur face when it dries.
Do not replace 'channay ki daal' with 'Baisan' as it doesnt have the same effects..

Good luck with your rishta..May Allah bless you with a great hubby and nice in-laws

Even if u do use these bleaching creams (which i wouldn't suggest), u'll still never feel good about urself. U have to accept who u r from the inside...otherwise u will always to change (and that mey mean changing into someone u r not!). THEREFORE, I WOULDN'T SUGGEST CHANGING UR SKIN COLOUR, U NEED TO CHANGE UR OUTLOOK. I am dark myself, and no-one's ever had a problem with my colour.

Happiness will not come from the skin of ur colour. U want a man to desire u for who u r, ur personality and ur emotions, not ur skin colour sweetheart.

Personally i don't even understand why u would want to change for such narrowminded biggotted people. Dark really is beautiful. Cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise ur face daily...use a face mask once a week...and ur skin will glow.
