From this website alone I see too many negative portrayals of our desi men and too many statements from male guppies which are nothing short of distasteful.

Please tell me why I SHOULD keep up my search for a Pakistani husband. Something. Anything. Throw me a bone here.
I believe in dragons, good men, and other fantasy creatures.

PCG, I am married to a Pakistani man who I met back in univ. After being married a pretty long time and being in company of families like ours, here is my conclusion:

      - Pakistani men respect their wives. They treat you like queens. Only fineprint: you treat them like a king. You make them your #1 priority, you will be their everything.
      - Pakistani men are ambitious. As long as they are in company of ambitious people, people who are moving ahead in their careers, etc.
      - Pakistani men are God fearing, as long as they are in the company of God-fearing men.
      - Pakistani men are appreciative of their wives. Make sure as a wife you take out time to thank them too.

Bottomline, they are as human as anyone else and have the same exact needs.

One thing though, they are very goodlooking

You should not. I think there are lots of very nice non-desi muslim men out there that will perfectly match your taste. Plus I think there is no point trying to get convinced over something if you already firmly believe otherwise. Good luck.

cus there are a lot more of us out there (and in here) who are married to lovely desi men.

sometimes, they dont seem all too nice, but honestly, they are lovely when it comes down to the crunch

I was a pakistani man hater, and never saw myself marrying them. As everything i heard and a lot that happend with men in my family is all negative and i saw women suffering because this is the life they choose. I was not gonna be that.

But after i have been in a relationship with a pakistani, everything changed. And i realized that there are pakistani men that are good hearted. The way he loves me and protects me but most of all respects me, is priceless.

And the best part is he is born and raised in pakistan and I in the US, the only times he's left the country is for swimming competitions when he used to represent pakistan in other countries.

So my point it, just because of some special members on GS or some other special characters, you should not undermine how great a pakistani husband can be, and you might be surprised where you'll find them.

And yes they're really good looking, well not the ones in pittsbrugh, but everywhere else

They will never ask for a seperate bank account and work till the end to support our naaz nakray and your children's naaz nakray and your grand children naaz nakhray.

Other things you don't hear typical pakistani husbands saying

      "I just need my space"
"I just need to hang out with my friends tonight"
"I don't feel like doing it"
"I don't find you attractive enough"
"I want to explore the world alone and leave my responsibilities behind"
"I am going to treat your parents like garbage"

That's just off the top of my head.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

adding to what gaia said... the only "special" ones ive ever come across, are the ones on here (select few as well).

there are genuinely nice desi guys out there... they just dont spend a lot of their times on the net. Probably and most likely, have better things to do

njgal, theres nothign wrong with a desi man asking for space... they're human too
