There was more than one claimant and they were dealt with. Accordingly.

There was also a prophetess that joined forces with a prophet to battle the muslims of the time.

Sahih Muslim. Version 1.03 - Translated by Abdul Hamid Siddiqui

      Book 19, Number 4345:
It has been narrated on the authority of Salama (b. al-Akwa') who said: We fought against the Fazara and Abu Bakr was the commander over us. He had been appointed by the Messenger oi Allah (may peace be upon him). When we were onlv at an hour's distance from the water of the enemy, Abu Bakr ordered us to attack. We made a halt during the last part of the night tor rest and then we attacked from all sides and reached their watering-place where a battle was fought. Some of the enemies were killed and some were taken prisoners. I saw a group of persons that consisted of women and children. I was afraid lest they should reach the mountain before me, so I shot an arrow between them and the mountain. When they saw the arrow, they stopped. So I brought them, driving them along. Among them was a woman from Banu Fazara. She was wearing a leather coat. With her was her daughter who was one of the prettiest girls in Arabia. I drove them along until I brought them to Abu Bakr who bestowed that girl upon me as a prize. So we arrived in Medina. I had not yet disrobed her when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) met me in the street and said: Give me that girl, O Salama. I said: Messenger of Allah, she has fascinated me. I had not yet disrobed her. When on the next day. the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) ag;tin met me in the street, he said: O Salama, give me that girl, may God bless your father. I said: She is for you. Messenger of Allah! By Allah. I have not yet disrobed her. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) sent her to the people of Mecca, and surrendered her as ransom for a number of Muslims who had been kept as prisoners at Mecca.

rashad khalifa and mirza ghulam ahmed r the last of these false prophethood claimers....

there was musaylma 'kazaab' (liar) and also a woman (i think her name was sajah) who claimed prophethood during the reign of abubakr and they joined forces against Islam i think....
      then there was aswad al-ansi....

Baha-ullah, leader of the bahayis, too claimed prophethood, i think....
Both Halal & Haram r evident but between them r doubtful things, most ppl have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from suspicious things saves his religion & honor, & whoever indulges in suspicious things indulges in Haram.

There had been many false prophets emerged after the departure of our belvoed prophets.

And biggest one of them was Muslima ibn Kazzab and they mostly appear during the time of hazrat abu bakar.

And then from time to time there had been many false prophets.

As far as i remember, Mukhtar was also one of the false prophets who appeared when hazrat abullah inb zubair was the caliph and the list can go on and on.

And false prophets still exist today. Elijah Muhammad the founder of Nation of Islam in usa also claimed that he was the messenger of allah.

And the most famous ones are the ahmadis who believe mirza ghulam ahmad qadiyani was the prophet.

Wouldn't it make a wholesale lot of sense if you devoted your energy in making Pakistan a better place for all than worrying about whether someone is a prophet or not? Ask yourself, what difference would it make to you, to your country, to your religion, if someone is a prophet? Do you think the reasons for the lack of clean drinking water can be traced to why someone is a prophet? Do you think that people who are homeless and jobless worry about who is a prophet? Go and ask the Shias who lost loved ones in last weeks terrible attack if they care who is a prophet.

You are Mr. NyAhmadi, we should not think about who is ahmadi or who is a false prophet at this stage because there is no islamic state right now and the real muslims are not united at the common front.

Their condition resembles worst than the life of the muslims of meccan period.

However, when an islamic state is established and muslims have not to worry about other stuff then they should care who is a false prophet or not.

And YES I will say it again that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiyani was a liar and will burn in hell and in an Islamic state followers of the false prophet should be killed.

No offense, but that's the ruling. People of other religion can enjoy equal rights as muslims in an islamic state, but there is no place for munafiqins like Ahmadis or those who are trying to fabricate islam in an islamic state.

Because the followes of the false prophet can damage the real teachings of Islam. Go and read the history of nation of islam, it has contributed a lot towards damaging the reputation of islam in usa already.

That's why false prophets and their followers should be killed and severely punished once the islamic state is established.
