I am niether Shia nor Sunni nor any other sect. I am on the religion on which Sayyedna Mohammad :saw: was. I am Muslim and that is required by Allah. Allah has forbid us to make sects, if you read Quran with understandind.

      Messege ends.

      OMG:

Halaala is as halal in all four school of thoughts as it ought to be.

A women can not marry to a man who divorced her or from whom she took a Khula utill she becomes a widow or divorced wife of another man.

Having said that, marrying someone with the sole intention of getting divorced so that she can return to her previous husband is considered Haram.

Halaala otherwise is also a valid practice in Sunnism.

so a woman has to marry another man before she can marry the first one again.

But what about the man? Does he need to marry another woman before he can marry the first one (if we're talking about 4 wives: does he need to have that wife's slot filled up first and then emptied) before he can marry that woman again?

      if not, why this asymmetry?

ask Allah swt and His Prophet for all your "why" ... why can't women divorce their husbands? why can't women lead prayer in a congregation? why can't women give khutba? ... kewn Allah mian kewn?

Just to clarify. Its not a prospective choice.

The rule means if she had been marrried to someone and gets divorce for a reason or second husband dies, its OK for her to re-marry first husband.

The misconception would be that she marries again with someone with intention to get divorce. That is not marriage as we know it.

This misconception is shown in some movies or in some stories/novels.

(In older days men used to make fun of women or gave them hard time by giving them divorce three times at separate instances and in between would accept her .............just to torment her.)
