What is a person to do in this situation???

There is a mystic thread of life
So dearly wreath'd with mine alone,
      That Destiny's relentless knife
At once must sever both, or none.

Take some help from those ALLAH log in Pak.
They can help a lot. Read quran and pray!

Once a magicians son had practised on Baba Farid. He became a victim of Black Magic and was cured after finding and destroying the vodoo doll (magician's grave).

Make du'aa to Allaah (SWT) is the short answer. This is actually a deep topic.

First and foremost it ought to be ascertained whether it is in fact sihr that the individual is affected by, or ‘ein’ (evil eye) or ‘mas-h’ (possession of a jinn). The treatment for ‘ein’ is a little different, but the treatment for ‘sihr’ and ‘mas-h’ is pretty much the same.

To determine whether the person is affected by sihr, a series of specific questions need to be asked with regards to the person’s behaviour, feelings, emotions and even dreams he/she may be having.

In the case of sihr, then there are several ways one could have become the victim of this. Firstly, he/she may have eaten or drank something which was poisoned by sihr. In this case the sihr either has an affect on the stomach or the brain. Secondly, the person to whom the sihr was aimed, may have walked over some litter/rubbish that had the spell of sihr cursed over it. And thirdly, the spell of sihr could have been cast over a piece of clothing belonging to the victim or on a strand of the victim’s hair. This is how the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was once affected by sihr, through a lock of his hair.

When sihr is done on something like hair or an object, then this hair or object needs to be found and destroyed. However, when sihr takes place through food or drink, then a jinn enters the person at the same time and stays within the body, until someone gets rid of him. The jinn normally lives in the body for years and years and gets accustomed to it. The longer he is in there, the more difficult it is to get rid of him.

Anyway, sihr can have many evil effects on the person. The Qur’aan states that the fundamental reason why Iblees taught some people sihr was in order to cause separation between husband and wife. And it is also used for many many other things.

The cure for sihr, without a doubt, lies in the book of Allaah. The best thing is for the person who has been affected to recite Qur’aan on himself/herself. No doubt this is the best cure. There are certain chapters that are more effective for this treatment than others. For example, Surah Bakarah, Soorah Ikhlaas, Soorah al-Falaq, Soorah an-Naas, and other selected verses from various chapters. However, the whole Qur’aan has shif’aa (cure) as reported in an authentic hadeeth. If the person is unable to recite upon him/herself for whatever reason, then someone must recite over him/her whilst putting placing his/her own hand (i.e. the reciter) over the head of the one being recited to. [Note: contact must only be made by a mahram]. But I must stress, it is not advised by anyone to carry out recitation over someone else who is not a practicing Muslim with a correct ‘aqeedah. This is very very important, because the more pious, either the one affected or the one reciting on the other, the easier it will be for both parties. Otherwise it can have negative implications and be dangerous, as the other person may also become affected.

Evil jinns do not like listening to the Qur’aan, they in fact loath it and it weakens them, therefore reciting over the person as much as possible is advised. If the jinn has been in the body a long time, although the recitation will weaken it, more may need to be done in order to get rid of him. This ‘more’ comes in the form of various herbal medicines. One of the medicines, is a powdery substance and must be added to blessed water and bathed in. Another comes in the form of leaves, which must be boiled and its water consumed and this acts as a laxative. Then there is certain rock which must be smashed into powder and sniffed. This causes sneezing. If the victim feels body pain as a result of sihr, then there is also olive oil (that has been recited over) to be massaged over the body. And there are 1 or 2 other medicines also. All these medicines are used to get rid of the sihr and weaken the jinn, thus making it easier for him to leave when the victim is being recited over. The scholars have mentioned that this treatment is a science of its own, and one needs to know what he/she is doing. But above all, the cure lies with Allaah, so one should continuously make du’aa to Allaah for this, whilst treating and being treated by the Qur’aan.

This is just a brief outline of what needs to be done.

The tragedy lies in the fact that such practices of sihr are widespread in the world, such as Pakistan, and the ones who are doing such evil, the saahir (magician) has gone beyond the bounds of Islaam and is clearly a Kaafir. However, the one who approaches the magician is also doing an act of kufr, by asking the magician to assist him/her to favour his/her affairs.

This subject is a topic in its own right, especially as more people than assumed are actually affected by this, and everyone should really try to at least learn something about this. Sometimes the sihr comes in such a disguised form that the person affected doesn’t realise it and thinks that an illness he/she suffers from is a natural illness, but in fact turns out to be the result of magic. There are many cases where this has happened ... And Allaah knows best.

Indeed all Praise is due to Allaah, Lord of the worlds.

"No leaf falls except that He knows of it, and no rain drop forms except that has willed it."
