The 'dua for shadi' thread prompted me to post this..I didn't post it in the religion forum because this is more marriage related, I need some serious advice here....

Around two years back I faced issues with my engagement, and it eventually got called off. During the time I was stressed, and made lots of dua for my marriage. Two of my friends told me about this wazifa, where one should write Surah Ahzab on plain paper and keep it somewhere safe (a wazifa for problems in marriage). I did that wazifa, wrote the entire surah on paper myself and kept it where I keep the quran.

Its been almost two years - engagement called off, no shaadi. There have been proposals but nothing really worked out. I pray regularly and only rely on Allah for everything, I'm not even bothered about what happened any more. I'm happy Alhamdolilah

However I feel guilty about the wazifa - did I do something wrong? Wazifas can have wrong effects too, have I done something wrong to myself? This is something that has been pestering me for a while...HELP!

this does belong in the religion forum, lady. i'm going to move it there. i'm sure you'll get more knowledgeable replies there.
Life is like a game of cards. The hand you are dealt is determinism; the way you play it is free will.

      Peace n7111,

Almighty Allah said: "But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not."

Don't let the shaitan whisper in ur ears so that u become more stressed. Be calmn and be in patience without worrying about marriage and always do 'dua' to Almighty Allah that He may grants u what is best for u for both i.e., in this world and hereafter. if HE kept u like this (still without marriage) than believe me it is better for you b'coz what Almighty Allahs knows (best for us) we don't know and be kind to urself and wait till Almighty Allah make some way for u.

P.S. i'm not satisfy with writing verses (as wazifa) and keeping it. Rathan than that u may memorize that whole chapter (sruah) and read it in two rakat nafle-hajaat namaaz and hope (make dua) to Almighty Allah to accept this act and grant u what is best for u.
