Read the Manzil daily (collection of duas) Read tasbeeh fatimih, all of Allahs 99 names repetitively.

I have a really nice book called "Duas for contentment and peace of the heart", with a lovely collection of duas for all occassions, as well as Yaseen, manzil, Surah Kahf and Mulk.

Read durood sharif in abundance as well.

    Recite the Quran.

cat woman is right, try to recite some quran daily, i was once listening to a talk by a shaykh cant remember who but her said that your heart rusts like metal, by reciting quran you're cleaning you're heart, also any form of dhikr is good becoz Allah has said in the Quran "verily in the remembrance of Alah do hearts find rest"

the most weiighty dhikr being lailahaillallah,

May Allah makes things easy for you, May He make the quran the noor of your heart and guide you towards the sweetness of eman.

Read durood sharif imagining you are standing in front of masjid-e-nabwi

Recite the Quran imagining you are in front of Kaba.

Read your duas believing that Allah is listening to you that exact moment and that He will respond your dua

InshaAllah you will feel a change when you do this.May Allah give you sabar and peace of heart.

Also, dont miss your prayers at all. In every namaz you will find out that your heart will become stronger. In every sajda you do, your heart will find peace inshaAllah

Hi Paige, God is with those who are patient. I would recommend that you force a smile on your face, even if it is an artificial one. Some pretty good suggestions above, try and follow them. I will also pray for your peace of heart.

And best of all pray to Allah for peace of heart. I have posted a few verses from Holy Quran which relate to Sabar (patience). Hope it helps! (smile!)

    __________________________________________________ ____________

    Chapter : 2 (Al-Baqarah) Verse : 46

And seek help with patience and prayer, and this indeed is hard except for the humble in spirit,

    Chapter : 3 (Al-`Imran) Verse : 187

You shall surely be tried in your possessions, and your persons, and you shall surely hear many hurtful things from those who were given the Book before you, and from those who set up equals to Allah. But if you show patience and fortitude and act righteously, that indeed is a matter of high resolve.

    Chapter : 12 (Yusuf) Verse : 19

And they came with false blood on his shirt. He said, 'This what you say is not true but your souls have made a great thing appear light in your eyes. So comely patience is now called for. And it is Allah alone Whose help is sought against what you assert.'

    Chapter : 12 (Yusuf) Verse : 84

He replied, 'Nay, but your minds have embellished to you an evil thing. So now there is nothing left for me but goodly patience. May be Allah will bring them all to me; for He is the All-Knowing the Wise.'

    Chapter : 14 (Ibrahim) Verse : 13

'And why should we not put our trust in Allah when He has showed us our appropriate ways? And we will, surely, bear with patience all the harm you do to us. So, in Allah let those who trust put their trust. '

    Chapter : 16 (Al-Nahl) Verse : 128 [Short Commentary]

And, O Prophet, endure thou with patience; and verily thy patience is possible only with the help of Allah. And grieve not for them, nor feel distressed because of their evil designs.

    Chapter : 21 (Al-Anbiya') Verse : 86 [Short Commentary]

And call to mind Ishmael and Idris and Dhu'l-Kifl. All were men of patience.

    Chapter : 40 (Al-Mu'min) Verse : 56 [Short Commentary]

So have patience. Surely, the promise of Allah is true. And ask forgiveness for them for the wrongs they have done thee and glorify thy Lord with His praise in the evening and the in morning.

    Chapter : 46 (Al-Ahqaf) Verse : 36 [Short Commentary]

Have patience, then, as the Messengers, possessed of high resolve, had patience; and be in no haste concerning them. On the day when they see that which they are threatened, it will appear to them as though they had not tarried in this world save for an hour of a day. This warning has been conveyed; and none but the disobedient people shall be destroyed.

    Chapter : 50 (Qaf) Verse : 40 [Short Commentary]

    So bear with patience what they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun and before its setting;

    Chapter : 54 (Al-Qamar) Verse : 28 [Short Commentary]

We will send the she-camel as a trial for them. So watch them, O Salih, and have patience.

    Chapter : 70 (Al-Ma`arij) Verse : 6 [Short Commentary]

So be patient with admirable patience.

The person who recites this soorah in his/her recommened prayers will have a shining face on the day of judgement.

The one who recites this soorah will be in patient in adversity and will be
counted from among the people of truth.

If this soorah is written after isha prayer and kept, it will be safety from the tyrant ruler in whose presence one is brought.
