Manzil is a man made composition from Quran Sharif. it protects from evil eye. here are the ayaat which it consists of. when read with focus to seek Allah swt's protection, it protects the individual who recites them in good faith.

The Manzil comprises solely of the following verses of the Quran:
    1. Surah Al-Fatihah (chapter 1): verses 1 to 7
    2. Surah Al-Bakarah (chapter 2): verses 1 to 5, 163, 255 to 257, and 284 to 286
    3. Surah Al-Imran (chapter 3): verses 18, 26 and 27
    4. Surah Al-A’araf (chapter 7): verses 54 to 56
    5. Surah Al-Israa (chapter 17): verses 110 and 111
    6. Surah Al-Muminoon (chapter 23): verses 115 to 118
    7. Surah Al-Saaffaat (chapter 37): verses 1 to 11
    8. Surah Al-Rehman (chapter 55): verses 33 to 40
    9. Surah Al-Hashr (chapter 59): verses 21 to 24
    10. Surah Al-Jinn (chapter 72): verses 1 to 4
    11. Surah Al-Kaafiroon (chapter 109): verses 1 to 6
    12. Surah Al-Ikhlas (chapter 112): verses 1 to 4
    13. Surah Al-Falaq (chapter 113): verses 1 to 5
    14. Surah Al-Naas (chapter 114): verses 1 to 6

my advice: please know the meaning of the ayaat to connect to their meaning and have good understanding of them.

Yeah, I've seen this. Its just a compilation of verses that have to do with nazr and keeping you from it.

Its a compilation done by man. I don't think there's any command to use this text for your prayers. Someone down the line probably thought to put the prayers all in one splace for you to read together.

They're Quranic verses, just scrambled, so there should be nothing wrong with reading it, nor should it be "bidaa". At least some of them are verses that supposedly the Prophet recommended to read for nazr.

    ^ thanks PCG, for clarification.

Pinks, the best clarification is this that the three kul are included in the end of Manzil.
what i do know is that Quran is divided into 7 manazil. i need to see if the beginning of each Manzil is with the order of the ayaat that Manzil consists of.
and i have seen all of the versus in Quran.
they are indicate tawhid, ibadaat and Alllah swt power and grandeur as The Creator, warning is given to both Jinn and to Man kind to be fearful of Allah swt's grace.
you can check in Quran, there is no Surah Manzil.
i am not sure which religious scholar would have compiled Manzil, but it is sold as a kitaab of dua supplication specifically for prevention of harm from evil eye and jealously.
May Allah swt prevent us all from making any mistake in reading, interpreting, and relating Quran and its ayaat. amen

Dushwari sis, another dua that you can read for preventing evil eye is
    hasb-an-Allah va naim-al walkeel
    cheers!

jizak Allah again. I have no doubts about the list of surahs listed above, I only have a question with regards to it being used specifically for "warding off the evil eye, etc".

And I know that there are hadith prescribing the use of "mawdhutain" for evil eye which is included in the list, but what about the rest. Its not enough for any scholar to say this dua is used 4 that w/o any backing.

And with regards to it being sold in pakistan, lets not even go there! there are so many bidats in that country (and pakistan isn't the only country guilty of this) that ppl have trouble distinguishing that which is prescribed by the quran & sunnah that which some maulvi states.

I don't think you need to worry about what any maulvi states in this situation. This is not a packet of duas in Urdu that you're supposed to read 15 times and light a match at 3 am in the morning under a full moon, or such nonsense recommendations as you sometimes get from fraud pirs.

Everything in the Manzil is directly from the Quran, so how could anyone really be misleading you by recommending you to read it?

I don't have the verification that these verses in particular were recommended for Nazr, but some of them are pretty familiar to me and I remember them being recommended for warding away the evil eye.

Honestly, if you read the Quran, it basically talks about (Surah Rehman) how its all in your head, and if you think anyone is wishing evil towards you, that your best defense is to hold onto your belief in God, and trust God, and know that it can't hurt you unless you mentally allow it to.

If you think someone is jealous of you, and you obsess over it, its obviously going to interfere in your life and make you miserable - you'll think that person's nazr is actually having an effect on you. Rather, its nothing - its just you not having full control over your mind.

The best thing to do is to actually not even think about the concept of Nazr. Don't even let yourself consider for a second that you might have Nazr. You'll see you'll be able to take the ups and downs of life much more easily.

PCG. I am not personally worried about nazar.

what i am concerned about is the above. u r totally write that all r the surahs from the quran... and like i said earlier, the mawdhitain r included in the list above... but to state with affirmity that these r the duas u read when one gets nazrified is the issue.... its saying that these ARE the remedy that I am enquiring about.

its like doing quran khani when someone dies.... sure they are only reading the verses out of the quran but the trouble lies with the intention that reading the quran will add to the dead persons hasanat! there is no religous backing 4 this, and there is no evidence from the quran and sunnah 4 this.... so just bcoz they are reading something "holy" doesn't make it right if it is used 4 the wrong reasons.

I pray that i was able to make myself more clear.

or any other surah, please do provide reference, u know verse numbers or atleast proper translations....

    thanx....
Both Halal & Haram r evident but between them r doubtful things, most ppl have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from suspicious things saves his religion & honor, & whoever indulges in suspicious things indulges in Haram.

thanks Pcg and case_study for speaking on my behalf.
    you explained well.

brother Pinks, thanks for your query.
how can you say that dua Maghfirat is not valid for a dead person or that Quran sharif cannot be read for the bakhsish of the dead?
unless you have some reasoning which i am unaware of.

Manzil is available as a dua book & yes, surah Kafirun, surah Ikhlas and surah falak are included in Manzil. it is not in Quran sharif by itself.

    Best,

Its says for you to to not pay attention to people who you think are casting magic on you, and instead focus your attention on God. Hence, its all a mind issue. God is telling you to not bohter your head with these things.

Duh. Its called interpretation of a verse. That's what the entire Surah Rehman says to me when I read it.

    Firstly; i'm a girl....

Secondly, I think I mentioned previously that there is NO evidence from the quran and sunnah (NONE whatsoever) that reading the quran when someone dies is a means of bakhshish 4 the deceased. Was there a massive quran khani when the Prophet SAW died? when Hazrat Abu Bakr/ Usman/ Ali ra passed away? was there a quran khani held when Imam Au Hanifa/ Shafi, etc passed away? i think we will find the answer to all those q's will e "NO". so it is not ok 4 us to do it. What is also worth noting that saying tha reading the quran when someone dies is a means of bakhshish is an innovation in our deen, and biddats r a big no (if u want i;ll post hadith with regards to that topic inshallah?
