Its the best option to go to a an aalim. I can understand ur misery, honey ur not alone. But question is how much do u believe in...lets start from there. Agreed that lady is a piece of s***, now what do we do. Get an aalim, & get rid of the entire thing. Aalims will never say who did what, because of fear of severe feuds within the family. Its always family.

Now dont be disheartened, do as I have already told u, & do it with the right intention. Clear ur mind, dont let it get it to ur brain, it will just feed on ur fear. The best option is to read Surah Al Baqarah once in ur home weekly if possible. Its a pretty long Surah, & it will take 2 hours to complete.

why THAT surah? I've heard of Surah Rehman should be read daily --- because it delves into jadoo.

It is very sad, And You are not alone in this mess. There are countless people who suffer due to one evil person in the family

Black magic is a reality. Very harsh and terrible reality

What Malik wrote is very accurate detail. And finding a right aalim is very difficult. As there will be so many people who will recommend you to this or that aalim. Most of these will be the ones who do black(or similar) magic themselves. So you must avoid these kind of people.

You need to find a pious person who can take you out of mess, not for any worldly desires but for Allah.

The Djin(good and bad), Spirits, omens all are present they don't do any harm, unless there is some evil person in family is destined him/herself for hellfire and tries to make yours a mess too.

Sorry I don't know the source, but I heard you should avoid consuming sweets given by suspicious people even if they are from your own family. Recite Azaan when in fear. Some expert can probably help identify the source of the magic but hard to find some genuine person who doesn't ask for favors or money at some point.

My grand parents used to live in old walled city in Lahore and my dad grew up there. He and my uncles and aunts have many stories of holy jinns living in the basement of their house. One incident is similar to what Mal1k wrote about his dad. So I guess black magic brings on the unholy stuff while holy jinns are not much trouble.

Basically, I just wanted to know if these aalims' claims are Islamically sound or is there some Hindu mysticism wrapped up in the their methods.

Instead of using these fake faqirs, take your relatives to psychiatrist.

All i know about fakis is that they are conmen. And if someoneis hearing voices, then any sane person will tell them to go to a doctor.
