thanks or no thanks to presumptious atonement.
that is the obvious, you should have this as much as anyone else has.
the purpose of life, ultimately is attributed to beng focused on the Maker.
everyone knows it & we are no one to contest who does it better then others.
the purpose of this thread, was to do exactly the opposite.
not be presumptious. not take a cover in being told what to do, how to do it.
but, taking it all upon yourself & then exerting your own free will, to distingush between right and wrong.
after that, i had hoped that a constructive, meaningdul reflection on life & its purpose will be shared amongst people who would like to share their views on the purpose of life, as they see it.
if i am not minundrstanding, you are of the belief that
seeking Allah is the purpose of life.
good.

Who's life ? Individuals ? Humans as a whole ? Wild life ? Plant Life ?
I am a man with a plan. A plan to live a simple , fulfilling life.

Mirch bhai, excellent question. each and every one's in relation to others.
while remembering that the return is to Allah swt. & we should all have a face to take back with the good deeds which can redeem us, qualify us above our inadverdent or adverdent mistaks or sins which we might have commited through our liv es.

Here is an excellent writing from Murtaza Mutahari about ' The Goal of life'. This link below is an extract from this book. Hopefully should be beneficial: Goal of Life

For Humans
Life is an exam hall where our love for Allah (s.w.t) and his creations is tested. This exam starts in the form of a journey from mother's laps till grave.
For All Living things
Life is survival. All living things make efforts in their life to ensure their survival.
p.s. Just my two cents, might not be true for everyone.
Read not to contradict and confute, not to believe and take for granted, not to find talk and discourse, but to weigh and consider. Inhale positive, exhale negative

I thought my following reply was not much different than yours. At least my intentions were same.

preparation for the afterlife...Allah has made it so clear in the Qur'an and I can't believe that some people still say don't know or still searching. I can't believe this.
