this thread reminded me about Haroon Yahya. to tell you the truth i have not read much from the guy. but in one of the public forums a guy forwarded his idea about dreams. in a nutshell the guy was saying the following:
when we go to sleep, our soul separates from our body and travels at the speed of light to the future. thus it is able to see all that is in the future. it then returns to our body and we are able to see the future events in our dreams. and so when something actually happens, we have a sense of
deja vu.
(this is what i remember of that post. i cant remember what book he mentioned, and i will appreciate it if someone actually puts the name of the book down)
I have a problem with this idea for the following reason:
soul is a philosophical entity. it has not been proven by science. according to science there is no such thing as soul*.
the concept of time travel, on the other hand, is purely scientific. true, there is a theory that you can time travel if you are able to travel with the speed of light.
in essence he is trying to mix up things that, like oil and water, will never mix.
so his idea is basically BS.
so that is the reason i dont want to read any of his books or whatever. his other ideas might be like that. reading him would be a waste of time.
what is your take on this?
* I am speculating someone would come up with the idea that soul is an entity that has been weighted etc. there is no truth in that. you might want to consult snopes if you dont believe me.
