I know its a controversial topic but the other day an Australian guy asked me about it and I could not answer.

What is the fundamental difference between Sunni and Ahmedi CONCEPTS? Apart from the controversial status of Khatam-e-Nabuwat, if there isn't much of a difference, why is there a need for anther prophet or messiah?

I have looked at a few Ahmediyat promoting sites but they focus on two things only; the concept of 'seal of Prophets' and 'prosecution of ahmedis in Muslim countries'. Nothing much about teachings or concepts. I asked a couple of Ahmedi friends as well and they were not really sure about it either.

The difference is Ahmadis believe Messiah/Mehdi/ISA has arrived while rest are still waiting for him/them.

Should ask Allah this question who decided there will be a prophet in later days. But apparently religion would be in such dire state that nothing less than a prophet can correct it.

The question is, if nothing new was to be taught and the original shariah is still there, there is no need for a prophet. A simple scholar/leader can do. Except in case you believe that Shariah has been mutilated.

Please use the search option and you would find many threads in which all your concerns / doubts have been answered many times.

One more thing that you would find in those threads is the repetition of the same questions time and again without mutual understanding between the opponents. Hence, ultimately such topics lead to personal attacks and disrespectful behavior that serve no benefit to the readers of this forum.

Read not to contradict and confute, not to believe and take for granted, not to find talk and discourse, but to weigh and consider. Inhale positive, exhale negative
