Every nations tried to keep alive the remembrance of its heroes. By commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Husain (AS), we learn lessons from his noble thoughts and convictions. Learning about what happened to him and his companions in the history provides us a light for the future. Learning about his actions has inspiring effects on our actions and serves as a reminder that the message of our Prophet (SAWW) is above anything that we possess and should we have to sacrifice everything for it, we must have the courage to do so.
"Verily, I am leaving behind two precious things among you: the Book of God and my kindred, my household..(Sahi Muslim, Hadith Thaqalayn is narrated by thirty plus Companions of the Prophet)
~Jis tarah mujhko shahid-e-Karbala say piyâr hay
Haq ta'âla ko yatimon ki duâ say piyâr hay
~Roney wâlâ hoon shahid-e-Karbala kay gham may mayn
Kyâ durrey maqsûd na daingay Sâqi-e-Kauthar mujhey
~Gharib-o-sâda- o-rangi'n hay dâstân-e-Haram
Nihâyat iski Husayn ibtida hay Ismâil
~Haqiqat-e-abadi hay maqâm-e-Shabbiri
Badaltay rahay hain andâze Kufio-Shâmi
~Qâfilâ e Hijaz may ek Husayn bhi nahin
~Musa o Firaun-o-Shabbir or Yazid
Een do quwwât az Hayât âmad padid.
^Ever since the creation of life two opposing forces have been at war with each other- virtue and vice, Right and wrong. Musa (Moses) rose against Firaun (Pharoah) and Shabbir (Imam Husayn) rose against Yazid. These struggles were between the Right and the wrong. Consequently the Right prevailed upon the wrong and it was proved that Right is might.

mourning anyones death beyond 3 days is alowwed only for a wife. screaming and wailing over ppl who have passed away is forbidden clearly by rasool Allah. i have utmost respect for rasool Allah's grandsons. and i think they are very high in honour ....
When your loved ones die, I don't think you can just keep it cool.
Lol if it were a worldly matter, it would be different but in our belief, we will cry for Imam Hussain (as) even in paradise. He, and the rest of the Ahl-ul-Bayt died for an eternal purpose. Crying is the most effective way of reviving the person and his death which doesn't only affect you, but all of the people around you. When we cry, we make a statement, we tell people that the message of truth will never die. We say that Islam is of Mohammadian roots and of Hussaini eternity.
