Yes its that time of year again! If people are thinking whats he writing about why dont you have a littlefun and type in each of those separate words in google and see what you come up with.

Its that time of the year again when the seasons change and many summer breeders have gone and replaced by winter visitors from further north.

Its that time of year when it will feel so cold but the hoinking of a skein of Pink-footed Geese above flying in V-formation will fill you with wonder.

Then you have the iconic winter thrushes - the fieldfare and the redwing. Seeing the Fieldfare troops strip a tree bare of berries is indeed an experience.

Normally they eat insects and worms but in winter they live off berries and fallen fruit.

Then the Redwing, which will zip above you on a dark autumn night. It too, seeks the milder British winter and feasts on berries and fallen fruit.
