Muzhko pata tha ek din,
Mujhse juda ho jayega,
Wo panchhhi tha pardes ka,
Kabhi laut ke na aayega.

Har din terey aagosh me,
Shaam o shab mere madhosh the'y
Maloom tha mausam kabhi,
wo laut ke na aayega.

Muzhko pata tha har ghadi,
Tera saath tha aadat buri,
Muzhko pata tha ek din,
Too ajnabi ho jayega.

Ab teri baaten karta hai,
Muzhse jamaaana taane de'
Main ranjeeda hu'n sochkar
Too kabhi nahi mil payega

Marte the'y jis par tootkar,
Wo Chhhootkar phir na mila,
Dil hai be-bas ye bechara.
Kis se kya kah payega?
