Lo ikk deewane ka qissa suno
Jise gham-e-firaq-e-yaar tha
Kabhi khud ko zandaan mai muqfil kia
Kabhi tamasha sar-e-bazaar tha
Wo sab ki nazron main andha tha
Per dil ki aankh to kholi thi
Wo rakhe uss ko sab se chuppa
Ye kaisi aankh micholi thi
Bhaid bhi uskay anokhe nirale
Kabhi sab poshida kabhi dekhe bhale
Wo aag bhi usne khud lagai
Phir kiun iss aag mai jalta tha
Jo hasta to qehqahe khokhle thay
Jo rota to darya bharta tha
Ye raaz wo phir na khol ska
Wo jane kis pe marta tha
Wo marte marte marr gaya
Ikk pyas jo kabhi na bujh saki
Per jagg ko sairaab kar gaya...
