R&B- sung by artistes who cry about 'water running dry' whilst leaning on a golden piano and wearing silver shoes.
Rap- sung by artistes who are angry about their accounts running dry after investing in golden teeth and silver rims.

Well actually I am a pretty much free minded fellow, I listen to every muziq with the exception of Pop, R&B, Rap, Techno, Trans, Country, Hip Hop, Jazz, Classical.
Other than that I listen to anything else.

imho...that's a generalization - it's not exclusively black people who listen to it.

correct for fitty-million points Nadia!
you win a lifetime supply of Boyz II Men stock, now distributed in printed form on a toilet paper roll.
Take as much as you want. Please. In fact, BET will pay the good samaritans who do.

I think the good folks above have explained it quiet well, however comical it may be
FYI, you may also come across the term D&B. That stands for "Drum and Bass". Now you learned something new again

POP!
Mariah baji isnt an R&B singer. She and Christina baji both sing as if they got constipation but still that dont make them authentic R&B artists
Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige, Ashanti, would be some examples of R&B artists.

Rythm and Blues of today is very misleading.

It is funny when supposed music experts disrespect one music genre over other. IF Aerosmith can sing with Run DMC. You garage band losers need to learn and take your heads out of your asses.
