YES now I am more than a 100% sure why u may ask? well today while watching the match on ppv I noticed that Dishnetwork was getting their feed from none other than ARY Digital that means the signal is already there in U.S and only the launch date is left to decide and secondly the price for the series was awfully low ($30) and the reason I came up with for the prices being low could have been that there were Pakistani adds in between the ppv
well whatever one thing is certain by the logo of ARY i saw today onDish ppv I am more than certain today that yes ARY is in line and it might just be a matter of time it appears

Khiska, the feed that Dish is getting does not mean that they ARY is being launched in the US. For instance, Dish has taken feeds from Sky, WW of Sports Australia etc. Setting up feeds these days is mostly done by optical, with satellites as a backup.

o i c Thanx SpockBhai well the thing is I didt know bout Dishnetwork taking feed from all those channels thanx for clearing it up, but u my friend have destroyed my ray of hope, my mom came back from Sharjah and she loves ARY and hates Prime o well we'll just have to wait and watch
BTW spock bhai can u call up KBS and ask them bout ARY yeh ATN wale in CANADA are nikame and have no cue ke whats gonna happen

yar, I didnt destroy the ray of hope, all Im saying is that getting feed was not an indication of ARY starting in the US, its more of a corporate decision, rather than the signal being received. If the decision is made, ARY can start broadcasting immediately. I talked to Khalil Malik (former media incharge PTCL, nawaz govt, and then senior reporter for ARY) and he says the management is quiet on this issue, but has not turned down this business prospective, so we should keep our fingers crossed! Hopefully they will start soon.

As a viewer from Middel East, I am getting ARY Digital channels from PAS-10 satellite, which is broadcasting a bouquet of 10 channels for the Mid East and Sub-continent…

1. ARY Digital Asia (Free to Air channel for Asia)
2. ARY Digital UK (Encrypted in Irdeto for viewers for UK & Europe)
3. QTV (FTA Islamic Channel)
4. The Musik (FTA Music channel)
5. ARY Digital Mideast (Encrypted in Irdeto for Pehla/ADD package, where the cricket is being broadcasted)
6. ARY Digital India (FTA ARY’s channel for India)
7. ARY One World tests (FTA ARY’s 24 hr news channel)
8. ARY Digital tests (this one going to be Citi Channel for Karachi)
And 2 more with test signal…

As some of u r aware that they migrated to Dubai Media City 2/3 months back from London, but still have studios in London, which is producing some local programs for the UK market. The news channel is on testing now, but others are up and running. I am sure that they first want to establish all the channels in the Mid East and Asia, before going to future markets as the Europe and USA with these bouquet of channels.
Till now I have not seen any promo for a sports channels or their plans for USA.

Now about the cricket…
Ten Sports is also broadcasting from PAS-10 sat encrypted in Irdeto system.

They have a bouquet of 3 channels TEN India, TEN Pakistan, TEN Mid East.
They are also in Dubai Media City, but in the beginning they were only for India/Pakistan market thru the cable operators, but came this summer on the Phela/ADD package for the Mid East.

Ten Sports are the official broadcasters of the matches played in Pakistan, UAE, and Sri Lank. They have all the rights of cricket being played in these countries.

The matches u r seeing is from ARY Mid East from the Phela/ADD package, which is getting it from Ten Sports, Ten Sports Mid East is not showing it on the Phela/ADD package, coz I have Phela/ADD Package which has ARY Mid East, TEN Mid East, and Fox Sports Mid East sports channels.

In Middle East ARY Mid East is showing it on the Phela/ADD package. Not on TEN Mid East (India/New Zealand match is being shown), but in Pakistan TEN Pakistan is showing matches thru the C.O’s.
I think TEN sold the rights of the matches to ARY Mid East or ARY Mid East had the rights before TEN Mid East started & joined the Phela/ADD Package..
coz of the distribution delays of TEN Sports Mid East..

So if ARY comes to USA, as ARY USA, it would be no guarantee, that they will take the cricket feeds from Ten Sports for cricket broadcasting or other way around…
