I can't believe it! The cornerstone of PTV - pakistani tv kee pehchaan...everyone's most loathed and most favorite show...does not come on TV anymore!

shock! horror! disbelief! someone tell me this is not true!

i miss Tariq Aziz's 'dekhti aankhon sunte kaanon aap ko Tariq Aziz ka salam ponhche' and 'Pakistan Zindabad'

what happenned? why did it end? anyone know?

used to love that show - everytime I went to Pakistan, my dada jee used to gather us together so we could watch it saying that its good for your general knowledge :-)

I remember Tariq Aziz's really momentous voice - one of a kind!

Tariq Aziz used to be a strong supporter of Nawaz Sharif, so when NS got the boot he also went, he tried to come in the good books with the generals, joined the PML-Q and try to start the program but do not know what happened after that, but he got his wife and daughter in the national assembly, he is out coz of no BA degree,

today saw same format new programe "Aap Ke Liya" hosted by the outcast Shujhat Hashmi (Waris fame) on PTV-1...

it is not good like Neelam Ghar...

i saw that program today too...and it just dint even hold a candle to the Tariq Aziz show

Umar Talib - yup init it sure was such a great program and Tariq Aziz's voice sure was unique..we used to all try to mimic it when we were kids

There was a better show, which for some reason was never shown on PTV!

It shows a video where Mr. Tariq Aziz shows his manlihood by trying to break the bars of the fence of the country's most prestigious and respected instituition. He got away with in Nawaz Sharifs times, and then when Mian sahib (whom Tariq loved so much) was kicked out of power, our great Tariq Sahib changed loyalties and Mushy uncle made sure that videe of his (such a great oscar winning performance) was never shown on PTV.

lol spock! dang thats right. how could i forget abt that i wonder what got into Tariq Aziz to pull that stunt...gosh pathetic that it is its almost funny if u actually imagine him visually doing that

i wonder what gets into our politicians...even the ladies do such crazy stuff k its embarrassing!!!

lekin they shud forgive him now n bring him back to tv no? i kinda miss the tariq aziz show

Irem, Nilaam Ghar reminds me of the 80s PTV As much as I dont like Tariq Aziz as a person, he was a talented person, and had a thundering voice. Btw, did you ever catch the 50-50 parody of nilaam ghar, where a 150 year old Tariq Aziz starts the show and goes 'Dhukti ankhoon, behrey kanoon' hehe, and behind him instead of the Suzuki (that was given to one of the winners) there is an old worn out foxy laying! That was so funny!

hahaah that sounds funny dont remember the exact episode but it sounds familiar.
theres been so many parodies of neelam ghar and kids love to mimic tariq aziz too init
neelaam ghar...hmmm i dont know, u know how when u r kids n sit with ur parents at night during dinner n something is on on tv...i just remember we used to watch nilaam ghar as a family a lot...! n it reminds me of those past days as well maybe thats why i want it back oh well
